Practice Configuration Template Settings

You can use the Practice Configuration template to configure certain settings to form the default options in the framework template set of various specialties.

The template displays available settings in three columns. The first column shows the setting name, the second column provides a brief explanation of the setting, and the third column contains the options you can select or values you can enter for the setting.

Configure Option for Ambulatory Surgery Center Section
You can set the time format in the Ambulatory Surgery templates.
Configuration Options in Assessment Section
You can configure multiple assessment options available in the section.
Configuration Options in Behavioral Health Section
You can make changes to options available in the Behavioral Health section.
Configuration Option in Cancer Registry Section
You can configure the Oncology specialty using the configuration option available in the Cancer Registry section.
Care Team Configuration
You can configure care teams from the Care Team Configuration template, in Practice Team Configuration, and Practice Care Team and Risk Score Review panels.
Configuration Options in CHM Navigation and CHM Lab Master Labels Section
You can configure options available in the CHM Navigation and CHM Lab Master Labels section.
Configuration Option in Copy Data Forward Alert
You can configure specialty templates that include the copy data forward feature using the Copy Data Forward Alert section.
CPT II Code Auto-Submission
You can automatically submit CPT II codes.
Turn on the Document to be Sent to the Patient
If you select the Show Patient Information checkbox on Copy Patient on Today's Encounter Notesection, the physician can select the option to send a copy of today's encounter note to the patient from the Patient Providers template.
Configure Preferences for Copying Data from Previous Encounters
You can configure the preferences to copy the historical physical exams, review of systems, reasons for visit, and assessments from any previous encounters to the current encounter.
Configuration Options in Default Month and Day Section
You can select the date format by using the configuration options in the Default Month and Day section.
Configuration Option in Dermatology Section
You can configure Dermatology specialty using the configuration options in the Dermatology section.
Evaluation and Management Coding
You can configure the settings in the Evaluation and Management panel on the Finalize template using the E&M Coding section on the Practice Configuration template.
Framework Template Set
You can configure the details related to the template set in the Framework Template Set section.
Health Survey Link
If you select the Enable Health Survey Link checkbox, the Health Survey Info link appears in the left Navigation for all Specialties and visit types.
Hide Physician Sign off
If you select the Hide checkbox, the system hides the fields in the Physician Sign Off panel on the Finalize template.
HIPAA Updates Through NextGen Enterprise EHR
You can check HIPAA updates using the HIPAA Disclosure Information template.
Obstetrics
You can configure Obstetrics specialty using the Parity detail auto calculation section.
The Joint Commission Standards
If you select the Enable The Joint Commission requirements checkbox, the provider or nurse must enter the details in the fields that meet the Joint Commission standards before proceeding with the workflow.
Orders and Plans
The Orders/Plans section allows you to turn on different configuration options related to Orders and Plans including Medical Necessity, My plan, MRI/MRA Questions Required, My Plan, Order Processing, Order Edit Framework, Ortho Orders, Office Diagnosis, AUC and so on.
Patient Demographic Template
You can configure Patient Demographics template related details in the Patient Demographic Template section.
Patient Portal User
You can turn on the patient portal user indicator.
Pediatric Age
You can configure Pediatrics specialty using the Pediatric Age section.
PHQ-9 Auto-launch
If you select the PHQ-9 automatic launch checkbox, the system automatically opens the Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9) template when the depression screening - PHQ-2 is positive.
Podiatry
If you select the Show Podiatry checkbox, the podiatry-related links appear on the SOAP template.
PRAPARE®
You can configure PRAPARE® Assessment Tool template using the PRAPARE® section.
Care Guidelines Orderables Alert
If you select the Enable Care Guidelines Orderables alerts checkbox, the system generates an alert if any care guidelines orderable items are due.
Physical Therapy
You can configure Physical Therapy (PT) specialty using the PT section.
Quick Note
You can turn off Quick Note when required.
Configuration Option in Quick Task
The Quick Task Setup template allows you to configure the task recipient to automatically send the orders that are being placed in runtime.
Risk Stratified Levels
If you select the Enable Risk Level Stratification checkbox, the Risk Level link appears on the patient header of every template.
Social History
You can configure options in the Social History section.
Turn On Sensitive Encounters
You can turn on an encounter as sensitive after identifying sensitive information for a patient.
Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGI)
You can configure gender neutral PE and ROS templates using the Detailed Sexual History tab.
Spirometry Use
You can configure the Allergy & Immunology and Pulmonary Medicine specialties using the Spirometry Use section.

Implantable Device Cardiac Observation (IDCO)
You can configure the order of the interrogation device fields that you want to display in the Interrogation Information grid on the Device - Card template and the card_docDeviceReport document using the Implantable Device Cardiac Observation (IDCO) setting.
