Access the Patient Demographics Template

You can also access the Patient Demographics template from Demographics links on various NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. For more information, go to the NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine documentation for the specific template. Open an existing patient in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. For more information, refer to the Person and Patient Lookup in EHR section. Open the Select Template window and select the Demographics tab. Select the Patient Demographics template. For more information on selecting a template, go to the NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the Templates User Guide for NextGen Enterprise EHR. The Patient Demographics template appears, displaying the selected patient's information. Expand the panels to view the information in them. You can add or edit information in the enabled fields. To save your updates without closing the template, select Save from the File menu. To save the updates and close the templat

Open the Patient Demographics Template

You can document patient details such as contact number, address, Primary Care Physician (PCP), primary practice provider, insurance, pharmacy, provider, emergency contact, employment, and reminder details, on the Patient Demographics template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient record. To open the Patient Demographics template, do one of the following: Open the Templates module, and double-click Patient Demographics in the Demographics tab. On the Home Page template, select the Demographics link. The Patient Demographics template opens. View and Update Patient Demographic Information

Add Patient Demographic Information

You can add demographic details of a patient on the Patient Demographics template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Patient Demographics template, and then expand the Patient Information panel. Patient Information Enter values for the following fields: State of birth Country of birth Blood type Enter information in the Race and Ethnicity fields. Note: You can add multiple values for race and ethnicity. To enter the patient's social security number, preferred language, and marital status on the Modify Patient Information template, select the corresponding fields.The Modify Patient Information window opens. The social security, preferred language, and marital status information you update in the Modify Patient Information window automatically appears in the Patient Information panel of the Patient Demographics template. Set up a Template as Favorite

In User Settings, you can set up medical records and demographic templates as favorite that appear in the Chart list, which you can access directly from NextGen Care® Population Management Hub. Open NextGen Care® Population Management Hub. Select the settings icon. The Settings window opens. On User Settings, select Templates and then do one of the following: To open medical record templates, select Medical Records. To select demographic templates, select Demographics. The Available Templates section lists the templates as per the selected template type. From the Available Templates list, select a template to set as favorite and select Add. Note: You can configure a maximum of ten favorite templates. The selected template appears in the Favorite Templates list. Note: You can also remove a template from the Favorite Templates list and move it back to the Available Templates list.
