Patient Demographics

You can review a selected patient's demographic information in the NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine Patient Demographics template. You can also add or edit the default pharmacy, historical addresses, reminders, emergency contacts, and employment. To update other patient information, use the Modify Patient Information window. To add a patient, use the Add Patient Information window. For more information on person and patient search and to view patient information, refer to the Person and Patient Lookup in EHR and the Person and Patient Information sections. View and Update Patient Demographic Information

You can access the Patient Demographics template from Demographics links on various NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine templates. For more information, go to the NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine documentation for the specific template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open an existing patient record. On the main toolbar, select Template . In the Select Template window, select the Demographics tab. Select the Patient Demographics template. Expand the panels to view the information. Do one of the following: To save your updates without closing the template, select File > Save. Add Patient Demographic Information

You can add demographic details of a patient on the Patient Demographics template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Patient Demographics template, and then expand the Patient Information panel. Patient Information Enter values for the following fields: State of birth Country of birth Blood type Enter information in the Race and Ethnicity fields. Note: You can add multiple values for race and ethnicity. To enter the patient's social security number, preferred language, and marital status on the Modify Patient Information template, select the corresponding fields.The Modify Patient Information window opens. The social security, preferred language, and marital status information you update in the Modify Patient Information window automatically appears in the Patient Information panel of the Patient Demographics template. You can document patient details such as contact number, address, Primary Care Physician (PCP), primary practice provider, insurance, pharmacy, provider, emergency contact, employment, and reminder details, on the Patient Demographics template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient record. To open the Patient Demographics template, do one of the following: Open the Templates module, and double-click Patient Demographics in the Demographics tab. On the Home Page template, select the Demographics link. The Patient Demographics template opens. View Patient Chart in NextGen® Enterprise EHR

You can select and view a patient's chart in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. You can view a patient's chart in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Note: In System Administrator, if Access Rights for Chart/Recalls/Tasking is set to No, then you cannot access Chart on the NextGen Care® Population Management Hub toolbar. For more information about setting access permissions for viewing Chart in NextGen Care® Population Management Hub, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest System Administrator Guide forNextGen®Enterprise.
