Growth Chart Generation from NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine

NextGen® Enterprise EHR enables you to record a pediatric patient's body measurements and graph growth charts from them using NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine pediatric templates. The growth chart uses template data from all of the patient's encounters. You can generate a selected type of growth chart from the Record Vital Signs template or a set of up to four growth charts at a time from the Pediatric Vital Signs template. The growth chart graphs are based on the type and age of the patient and the measurements provided. You can also generate growth charts from a NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine template by using File menu commands in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. You can graph BMI, height, weight, head circumference, and weight versus length. Access the Patient Demographics Template

You can also access the Patient Demographics template from Demographics links on various NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. For more information, go to the NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine documentation for the specific template. Open an existing patient in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. For more information, refer to the Person and Patient Lookup in EHR section. Open the Select Template window and select the Demographics tab. Select the Patient Demographics template. For more information on selecting a template, go to the NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the Templates User Guide for NextGen Enterprise EHR. The Patient Demographics template appears, displaying the selected patient's information. Expand the panels to view the information in them. You can add or edit information in the enabled fields. Patient Demographics

You can review a selected patient's demographic information in the NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine Patient Demographics template. You can also add or edit the default pharmacy, historical addresses, reminders, emergency contacts, and employment. To update other patient information, use the Modify Patient Information window. To add a patient, use the Add Patient Information window. Add Patient Demographic Information

You can add demographic details of a patient on the Patient Demographics template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Patient Demographics template, and then expand the Patient Information panel. Patient Information Enter values for the following fields: State of birth Country of birth Blood type Enter information in the Race and Ethnicity fields. Note: You can add multiple values for race and ethnicity. To enter the patient's social security number, preferred language, and marital status on the Modify Patient Information template, select the corresponding fields.The Modify Patient Information window opens. The social security, preferred language, and marital status information you update in the Modify Patient Information window automatically appears in the Patient Information panel of the Patient Demographics template. Modify Patient Information

You can modify and update the demographic information in a patient chart. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. On the main toolbar, select Chart or Chart Lookup Chart Lookup icon. The Patient Lookup window opens. In the Search Criteria section, enter the patient's information, and select Find. Patient records that match the search criteria, appear in the Matching Records section. Select the patient, and then select Open. The patient chart opens. In the Patient Information tab, select the Demographics tab and then select open folder Open Folder icon next to Name. The Modify Patient Information window opens. Update the desired fields.
