Alerts Panel

The grid in the Alerts panel displays all alerts that have been set up. The Description column describes the usage scenario that causes the alert to fire. The Message column shows the text of the alert message. The When column shows the template in the workflow where the alert fires. The Visit Set column shows which types of visits the alert will fire for. The Enabled column shows whether the alert has been enabled to fire ('Locked' indicates an alert that always fires and cannot be disabled). The Override column indicates whether an override has been configured for the alert. If there is an override (Yes), then when you select the alert, you see the conditions of the override in the grid in the Alerts Overrides panel. Most of the alerts are set to Enabled, and the system prevents you from disabling them due to regulatory or documentation requirements. If you select a row in the grid and the Enable checkbox becomes unavailable, you cannot turn off the alert. Search for an Alert Filter

Configure Equivalent and Alternative Protocols for Care Guidelines

On the Care Guidelines Setup template, and expand the Test Equivalents and Alternatives panel. In Test Name, select the test from the picklist. Optional: To validate the billing code, select the Enable billing code validation checkbox. To add the exact equivalent of the selected test, enter a Test description equivalent and Test code equivalent. To add an alternative code for the selected test, enter a Test description alternative and Test code alternative. Optional: To indicate the test is orderable, select the Orderable checkbox. Select Add/Update. The details appear in the grids below the respective fields. Optional: To remove a test, select the test in the grid, and then select Remove. Select Save & Close. Turn On Order Entry from Order Module

You can allow an order entry using the Order Module. If you have installed the Care Guidelines Standalone upgrade for NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine, the Practice Configuration template displays the Enable Order Module checkbox. Clients have the option for placing orders for lab and radiology guideline items directly from the Order module when they select the Enable Order Module setting in the Orders/Plans section of the Practice Configuration template. Selecting the Enable Order Module setting configures the Care Guidelines Paged View template to launch the Order module whenever the checkbox for a guideline orderable item is selected. Users can then place orders for the guideline item from the Order module. After saving, the Order module closes and users return to their workflow on the Care Guidelines Paged View template. The status of the guideline item is updated to “ordered” and the date ordered displays below the Status field. Note: The Enable Order Module checkbox in the Orders

Filter Displayed Guideline Item Using the Checkbox

You can filter displayed guideline item that is active for a patient using the checkbox. You can filter guideline items displayed in the Care Guidelines panel for the guidelines active for the patient using the checkboxes in the Show section. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select the Care Guidelines link on any of the main template. The Care Guidelines Paged View template opens. Expand the Care Guidelines panel. In the Show section, select one of the following checkboxes: Orderables Recommended care (medication) Recommended care (non-medication) By default, all Show checkboxes are selected. All active care guideline items appear on the panel. Care Guidelines Paged View If you opt out recommended care meds or non-meds on the Care Guidelines Setup practice template, the corresponding recommended care items do not apply. These recommended care items do not appear in the Care Guidelines panel and the Show checkboxes are hidden. You can choose to opt out of one or both categories of recommen
