The Practice Configuration template contains a separate Cardiology section for configuring specialty-specific settings.
You can migrate the data by either duplicating the problem into multiple entries in the Problems module (Duplicate Problems) or merging the problems together as one entry (Merge Problems).
You can modify the user descriptions of the diagnosis on the DX User Descriptions practice template. For more information on this template, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the Cardiology User Guide for NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine.
E&M Guidelines - You can select the coding guidelines to use for E&M coding on the Finalize template. You can select either the 95 Coding Guidelines or 97 Coding Guidelines option. To use the 2021 Coding Guidelines, you must enter the 2021 Coding Guidelines Effective Date. If you enter a date, you must also select the 95 or 97 Coding Guidelines to cover visit types not affected by the 2021 guidelines or for encounters before the effective date.
Under the 95 or 97 Coding Guidelines, if the Medical Decision Making (MDM) level does not need to be selected on the Finalize template, you can select the MDM not a required component checkbox. For example, the MDM level may not be required for an office visit for an established patient to calculate the E&M code.
