Pulmonary Function (Spirometry) Testing

You can find the historical results from the spirometry readings on the following templates or panels: In the Spirometry panel of the Intake - Allergy and SOAP - Allergy templates In the Historical Results panel of the Spirometry template When spirometry testing is documented on the Spirometry template, the physician reviews the results and selects the specific procedures to be billed. Enter Pre-Treatment Values for Spirometry You can use the General panel on the Spirometry template to record the pre-treatment details for spirometry testing. Asthma Workflow

Asthma workflow is the process of documenting a patient's asthma related issues. The Asthma workflow enables testing or treatment of pulmonary function during a normal office visit. The possible workflow for asthma patients are: Intake staff uses the Intake and Histories templates to begin the visit for a patient. A provider reviews the intake information and adds additional details on the Asthma Flowsheet template. The provider uses the Spirometry and Nebulizer panels, respectively to document the pulmonary function testing and/or a nebulizer treatment of the patient. The provider uses the Finalize template to complete the visit and to calculate the E&M code. The front office staff uses the Checkout template to complete the discharge formality for the patient. Allergies

You can manage patient allergy details of a patient. You can add and review the allergy details of a patient in the Allergies panel. The Allergies panel allows you to add and review the allergy information associated with a patient. If there are no known allergies for a patient, you can select No known allergies. Allergies Panel You can only add the allergy and its reaction in the Allergies panel. The severity level must be added from the Medication Allergies module. For an allergy record, you can select multiple reactions and their respective severity levels from the Medication Allergies module. You can view the intolerance details for the added allergies in the Allergies panel if the Intolerance checkbox is selected on the Medication Allergies module. The Intolerance checkbox indicates that the patient cannot tolerate the side effects of the medication. You can use the templates for Allergy and Immunology to document information related to patient encounters specific to allergies. Allergy and Immunology Encounters You can document allergy and immunology-related details of a patient in allergy and immunology encounters. Allergy Evaluation Workflow Patient allergy evaluation workflow for the intake staff, providers, and front office staffs. Allergy Testing Workflow You can test and document a patient's asthma related issues on the Testing - Allergy template. Enter Pre-Treatment Values for Spirometry

You can use the General panel on the Spirometry template to record the pre-treatment details for spirometry testing. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. In the Spirometry panel, select Add.The Spirometry template opens. Spirometry template In the General panel, to record a diagnosis, do the following: In the Diagnosis field, select a diagnosis from the diagnosis search window.For more information on how to search and select diagnosis code, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the Templates User Guide for NextGen® Enterprise EHR. In the Status field, select a status from the list. Select one of the following: FVC FEV1 FEV1/FVC% FEV 25-75 PEF MMV VC Enter the Pre-Treatment values in the respective fields. Select Spirometry Screening Questions to answer Yes or No for the screening questions. Note: You can add additional comments in the Comments field.
