Template Default for a Finding

The Graphical Exam Tool is delivered with a complete set of findings-based template defaults to use with the Dermatology Quick Exams - PE (Full Skin Exam) template. The defaults enable you to fill the template with predefined data relevant to the specific finding with a single click. You can modify the template defaults to meet your practice's specific need. In addition, if you add additional findings to the GET, you can create template defaults for those findings. Creating at least one template default for a GET finding automatically fills the Dermatology Quick Exams - PE (Full Skin Exam) template with the custom-created template information when you click the grid entry for that finding. When you create two or more template defaults for a specific finding, the system launches a picklist of the template default names so you can decide which template to use. Graphical Exam Tool (GET)

The GET provides powerful, image-driven charting that incorporates regionally specific and highly detailed enhanced visual content with a comprehensive set of views and mapped ICD-10 codes. The tool offers extensive out-of-the-box content including 30 common findings with corresponding Quick Exam defaults mapped to specific findings. The GET allows you to select a finding from the list and click a spot on the image to mark the exact location of that finding. The marked locations are added as a record. When you click any of the links for a finding record, the Dermatology Quick Exams - PE (full skin exam) template opens and you can document additional details of the findings, for example, exam description, management, and plan. You can identify the areas examined on the GET and indicate if the patient expressed a desire for a full skin exam. This capability also exists on the Reason for Visit panel on the Intake template. GET Exam Tools

The GET is delivered with a comprehensive set of exam tools. By default, every exam tool that is appropriate for a specialty is included in every reason for visit. You may choose to remove the exam tools from certain reasons for visits to simplify the display. For example, you may remove most exam tools from the acne reason for visit since only the face and body are involved in the exam. When configuring exam tools, you can: Add new exam tools to the GET. Add or change the exam tools defined for the derm_exam profile. Add or change the exam tools defined for each reason for visit. GET Images You can add images to the GET. Before you add an image, you must create the image and store it in the proper location. Add Exam Tools in the GET You can add additional exam tools if you have images that you prefer to use. You can also change the attributes of existing exam tools if needed Manage Exam Tool for a Reason for Visit You can define what exam tool need to appear for each reason for visit.

Document a Routine Visit

After the intake staff completes their work with the patient, you can document the patient encounter. On Dermatology Home Page template, review the patient information entered by the intake staff. On the Histories template, review the patient information and make the desired modifications. On the SOAP template, view the details of reason for entered by the intake staff in the Reason for Visit panel. You can enter additional reasons for visit. In the Review of Systems panel, to document patient's signs and symptoms, do one of the following: Click the ROS defaults field, and then select an appropriate default ROS from the list. Click DERM - ROS and do one of the following in the Dermatology-ROS template. To select negative or positive for symptoms in a system, select either Neg or Pos options. To mark negative for all symptoms in a specific system, select All neg in the respective system. To document the findings in detail for a specific system, click the respective system link, and then

Practice Configuration Template Settings

You can use the Practice Configuration template to configure certain settings to form the default options in the framework template set of various specialties. The template displays available settings in three columns. The first column shows the setting name, the second column provides a brief explanation of the setting, and the third column contains the options you can select or values you can enter for the setting. Configuration Option in Cancer Registry Section

You can configure the Oncology specialty using the configuration option available in the Cancer Registry section. Cancer Registry section If you select the Cancer registry HL7 interface checkbox, Required Fields Check appears at the lower end of the run-time Onc Treatment Summary template. This button opens the Missing Data template that lists the required data to be added in the Onc Treatment Summary template, which helps in reporting cancer cases to a public health central cancer registry.
