Open the Quick Task Setup

You can create a task using Quick Tasks. You can configure the recipients for your orders or tasks using the Practice Configuration practice template. Once configured, the task is automatically sent to the configured recipient at run time. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select File > System \ Practice Template.The Select Template window opens. Select the Practice tab. Under Show, select All. A list of practice templates appears. Select Practice Configuration, and select OK.The Practice Configuration template opens. To indicate that the Category field on the Quick Task Setup template, in the Quick task section, select the Require a Category to be entered when Quick Task settings are added or updated checkbox. Quick Tasks

You can set up the Quick Task recipients to automatically send the orders to as they are being placed in run-time. You can configure Quick Task recipients from the Practice Configuration template. If the task recipient is not configured there, the Quick Task Setup template opens the first time you select Quick Task in the run-time template. You can set up the task recipient to automatically send the orders to as they are being placed in run-time. You can also configure quick tasks from the Orders and Assessment/Plan sections for adults patients and from the Pediatric Screening section for pediatric patient. After you initially set up tasking, you can open the Quick Task Setup template at any time to set up new tasking actions. Set Up Quick Tasks You can set up Quick Tasks for the first time. Configure Task Recipient

You can configure task recipient using the Quick Tasks Setup template. On the Practice Configuration template, scroll to the Quick Task section. Select the Launch Quick Task link.The Quick Tasks Setup template opens. Quick Tasks Setup template Note: The fields marked with asterisk (*) are mandatory to document. In the Quick Tasks Setup template: The User Name field appears with the current user logged on to the system. If applicable, select User Name and select the applicable provider to associate with the tasking configuration. Select Source template and select a template from the list. Select Task To and then select either Individual or Group task type.By default, the Priority field value is set to Normal. If applicable, select Priorityand select the priority of the task.
