Pediatric Age

You can configure Pediatrics specialty using the Pediatric Age section.

The Pediatric Age section allows you to define the age limits of pediatrics in the Peds Navigation Age field. The patients older than the age defined in the Peds Navigation Age field are considered as the adult patients. For the patients equal to or lesser than the Peds Navigation Age, the system opens the templates specific for the pediatrics patient in runtime. You can also define age in the Peds Physical Exam Age field to assign the PE normals for pediatrics using the template defaults.

If you select the Use SWYC developmental screening checkbox, the SWYC developmental milestones templates open when you select Developmental History in the History Summary panel on the SOAP template.

The Use SWYC developmental screening checkbox is shared on the Peds Development Definitions template. When you select the Use SWYC developmental screening checkbox, all the development milestones configurable fields on the Peds Development Definitions template are hidden, indicating that the SWYC developmental milestones are not configurable.
