Confidential Social History Configuration

The Show Confidential History checkbox in the Practice Configuration template enables you to include confidential information in the social history document with patient permission. Social History section in Practice Configuration When the Show Confidential History Information on Master Document checkbox under Practice Level Configurations in the Document Configuration practice template is selected, the confidential history information gets generated in the master or intake document. Practice Level Configurations in Document Configuration Note: When the Show Confidential History checkbox is selected on the Practice Configuration practice template, the system automatically selects the Show Confidential History Information on Master Document checkbox on the Document Configuration practice template. When you select the Show Confidential History checkbox, the Include all confidential information in the social history document with patient information checkbox in the Social History template

Configure the Pediatric Social History Display

You can enable the panel version of the social history template in the Social History section on the Practice Configuration template. NextGen®Adaptive Content Engine provides two display options for documenting the social history of a patient, when the Add/Edit button is selected in the Social panel: A distinct template for each area of social history. A single template that displays the social history content in multiple panels. By default, NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine is packaged with the option of a distinct template for each area of social history. However, you can configure social history details to display as a single template on the Practice Configuration template. In the Social History section on the Practice Configuration template, if the Enable Panel version of Pediatric Social History checkbox is selected, then the application opens the Pediatric Social History template, which is the panel version of the social history template. Pediatric Confidential Information

You can use the confidential history templates to document a patient's confidential details. You can open the Peds Confidential History template by clicking the following links: The Confidential History link in the Social panel on the Histories template. The Confidential link in the History Summary panel on the Intake template. You can document the following confidential details of the pediatric patient: Alcohol and drug use, and any related comments from the historian on the Peds Confidential History - Substances template. Psychiatric history, child placement history, and incarceration details from the historian on the Peds Confidential History - Psychiatric template. Sexual practices, Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) details, and any related comments from the historian or the provider, or from both on the Peds Confidential History - Sexual Hx template. Setup Requirements for a Pediatrics Specialty

You can set up certain basic configurations for a Pediatric specialty. Pediatric-specific configuration includes the ability to set: Age values Growth chart options Problem note default values Anticipatory guidance options The system and practice templates also provide the ability to set template preferences, add links required on the templates, configure task recipients, customize the reasons for visit, and so on. Patient's Social History

You can document a patient's social history. You can open the individual social history template or the Adult Social History template to document the social history information of a patient. The Adult Social History template includes the existing social history templates arranged in a one-page panel format. Each panel includes the data fields from the respective social history template. You can choose to document the social history information of the patient on individual social history templates or on the Adult Social History template. Pediatric History Summary

You can add, update, delete, and review a patient's history summary details from the History Summary panel. You can document a patient's history information in the History Summary panel in the following categories: Past Medical/Surgical Interim Social Family Diagnostic Developmental History Summary The Developmental link in the left pane enables you to open the Child Dev. Rec template and document the child's developmental milestones. The Social Determinants of Health and PRAPARE links appear based on the settings in the PRAPARE® section of the Practice Configuration template. Social Determinants of Health enables the documentation of social, behavioral, and psychological data for the patient.
