HIPAA Updates Through NextGen® Enterprise EHR

You can check HIPAA updates using the HIPAA Disclosure Information template. If you select the Allow updates to HIPAA from EHR checkbox, a practice can update the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) disclosure documentation in NextGen® Enterprise EHR from the HIPAA Disclosure Information template. Modify an Interface Details

You can update interface details in the Interface section. On the Practice Configuration template, scroll to the Interface section. In the Interface grid, double-click a row to be edited. The Interface Configuration template opens. Make relevant edits in the applicable fields. Select Save and then select Close.The modified data updates in the grid. Parent topic: Interfaces

Remove an Interface Details

You can delete interface details in the Interface section. On the Practice Configuration template, scroll to the Interface section. In the Interface grid, select the row to be deleted. Right-click and select Delete. The selected row deletes from the grid. Parent topic: Interfaces

Add an Interface Details

You can enter new interface details in the Interface section. On the Practice Configuration template, scroll to the Interface section. Right-click the grid and select Add New.The Interface Configuration template opens. Interface Configuration template In Interface, enter the name of the interface. In Interface executable path, enter the path where the executable file (.exe) of the interface is located. In Interface executable file, enter the exact name of the interface executable file (.exe file). In Command, enter the required command line parameters to pass information to the interface. Select the Enabled checkbox when the interface is active or in use. Select Save and then select Close.The interface details display in the Interface grid. Parent topic: Interfaces

Basic Configuration in the System or Practice Templates

You can configure basic settings using the System or Practice templates. You can configure basic settings and setup procedures such as instructions to set template preferences, add links on the templates, configure task recipient, customize reasons for visit, and so on. Open the Practice Configuration Template

You can browse the Practice Configuration template to edit a patient's record. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the File menu, select System\Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. Select the Practice tab. In the Show section, select All .A list of practice level templates appears. Select Practice Configuration, and then select OK.The Practice Configuration template opens.
