General Reports

The General reports category includes various reports that you can use to review non-financial information for patients and guarantor accounts in your practice. The reports can help you monitor and manage a variety of internal processes and workflows in NextGen® Enterprise PM. Anesthesia Concurrency Billing

Anesthesia Concurrency Billing in NextGen® Enterprise PM can be setup and used by practices that must meet specific requirements on professional claims for anesthesia services that occur at the same time, or concurrently. Concurrency billing is typically used when the practice submits 837P/1500 claims for numerous anesthesia procedures that are administered in a hospital surgery department setting by Anesthesiologists and medically directed Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA). An Anesthesiologist can personally administer anesthesia to a patient. They can also oversee the administration of anesthesia by Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA) and Anesthesiologist Assistants (AA). When an anesthesiologist oversees up to four concurrent cases, it is considered "medical direction". Patient Information Bar Buttons

The following buttons are available on the Patient Information Bar in NextGen® Enterprise PM: Buttons Image Function Alerts If one or more NextGen® Enterprise PM alerts exist for patients, the Alerts button appears in red color. If no alerts exist, the button appears in gray color. Note: You can hover over the red button to view the Type and Description of alerts. The types of alerts that appear in NextGen® Enterprise PM are determined by settings in practice preferences. The alerts also appear in NextGen® Enterprise EHR from the Patient Information Bar if enabled in practice preferences in the EHR tab. Alerts Options - Practice Preferences

Chart Alerts The following options determine when users see Chart Alerts in NextGen® Enterprise PM. Field Name Description Account Chart alerts when users access the Account Profile window for the guarantor. Chart Chart alerts when users access the Patient Chart window for the patient. Encounter Chart alerts when users open an encounter for the patient. Task Chart alerts when users open a task for the patient. Appointment Chart alerts when users open an appointment for the patient. System The System options under Chart Alerts display system-generated alerts with chart alerts. Note: The Expired, Co-Managed, and After Care Days check boxes are not available if none of the Chart Alert check boxes ( Account, Chart, or Encounter) are selected. At least one Chart Alert check box must be selected to allow access to these check boxes.
