Patient Case Report

Patient Groups Report

The Patient Groups report lists groups that have been created in either NextGen® Enterprise EHR or NextGen® Enterprise PM, including all patients added to or removed from each group. By default, the report is sorted by patient group name. To access the report in NextGen® Enterprise PM, select the Reports menu and select General and then select Patient Groups. Eligibility Verification Benefit Report

The Eligibility Verification Benefit report is available if your system is licensed for NextGen Eligibility Verification. You can use the report to view benefit information returned by payers for patients that had an eligibility request submitted from NextGen® Enterprise PM. For more information, go to the NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the User Guide for NextGen® Eligibility Verification Report configuration and filter options include Request Date, Response Date, Service Type, Insurance Type, and Payer. To access the report in NextGen® Enterprise PM, select Reports > General and then select Eligibility Verification Benefit. Note: This report uses enhanced reporting functionality. Create or Open Cost Estimations from Estimation Results

In NextGen® Enterprise PM, open the chart of the desired patient, and select the Clinical History/Notes tab. In Topics, select Estimation Results. The completed estimates for the patient are displayed. Do one of the following: To create a cost estimate, right-click the Details section, and select New. The Estimate Patient Cost window opens displaying the demographic information of the patient. To open a cost estimate, right-click the Details area, and select Open. The Estimate Patient Cost window opens displaying the cost estimation details. Specify the values, and submit them for cost estimation. Cost Estimation for a Patient

In NextGen® Enterprise PM, a patient is a record that has a chart created in the practice and is denoted by . A chart includes the clinical and financial details related to the patient's encounters in the practice. A person can become a patient in the practice when a chart is created for the person. A patient record that has an account in the practice is denoted by . You can search for and find a patient in the practice on the Patient Lookup window. You can open the Patient Lookup window by selecting Chart on the toolbar or selecting Tasks > Lookup > Charts. You can use the search criteria to find the desired patient. To open the Estimate Patient Cost window, you can right-click the specific patient and select Estimate Patient Cost. If you initiate cost estimation for a patient using the Patient Lookup window, the following information is displayed. Estimate Patient Cost from Encounter Lookup

For details on how to estimate patient cost, go to the NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the Pre-Services Cost Estimation User Guide for NextGen Enterprise PM. On the Encounter Lookup window, find the encounters. Right-click an encounter from the encounter list. Select Estimate Patient Cost. The Estimate Patient Cost window opens.
