Patient Information Bar Buttons

The following buttons are available on the Patient Information Bar in NextGen® Enterprise PM:

Alerts
If one or more NextGen® Enterprise PM alerts exist for patients, the Alerts button appears in red color. If no alerts exist, the button appears in gray color.

The types of alerts that appear in NextGen® Enterprise PM are determined by settings in practice preferences. The alerts also appear in NextGen® Enterprise EHR from the Patient Information Bar if enabled in practice preferences in the EHR tab.

Appointments

Displays the number of future appointments for the patient within a blue circle.

You can hover over the buttons to view the Date/Time, Event, Location, Status and Resource for each appointment. Up to 4 past and 4 future appointments can appear. An appointment for the current day (today) is considered a future appointment, even if the status is Kept. Therefore, more than 4 future appointments may appear. Deleted appointments are not included.

You can select this button to open the Appointments section of the Chart in the Clinical History/Notes tab.

Insurance
You can select the button to open the Insurance Listing window.
Patient Balance

You can hover over Patient Balance to view the information for the patient's default guarantor.

You can select the button to access the Patient Balance window.

Recall Plans

Recall Plans displays the number of active recall plans for the patient within a blue circle.

You can hover over the button to view the Recall Plan, Start Date, Return Date, and Event for each recall.

You can select the button to open the Recalls section of the Chart in the Clinical History/Notes tab.
