Eligibility Referral Report

The Eligibility Referral report is available if your system is licensed for NextGen Eligibility Verification. You can use the report to track referral requests submitted to payers from NextGen® Enterprise PM. For more information, go to the NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the User Guide for NextGen® Eligibility Verification Report configuration and filter options include Create Date, Status, Inquiry Type, Response Status, Payer Subgrouping, Primary Payer, Provider Subgrouping, and Rendering Provider. Service Unit Authorization Report

The Service Unit Authorization report in NextGen® Enterprise PM enables you to review and monitor patients with service unit authorizations to determine whether they have met or exceeded the maximum number of packaged services authorized by their insurance, and whether those services were provided within the time frame authorized by the payer. You can also use the report to determine if patients with upcoming appointments are nearing their service limit so an authorization for additional units or days can be requested and obtained from their insurance. This encounter-based report is available only if a Service Package Library is selected in Practice Preferences > Libraries. Policy Holder Report

The Policy Holder report enables you to generate lists of guarantors and/or patients that are sorted by insurance providers. To access the report in NextGen® Enterprise PM, select the Reports menu and select General and then select Policy Holder. To access the report in File Maintenance, select System Master Files and then select Payers. From the Payers List window, right-click on a payer and select Print and then Policy Holder Listing. Generate a Service Unit Authorization Report

Access NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the Reports menu, select General, then Authorizations, and then Service Unit Authorization. The Service Unit Authorization - Enhanced Report Mode window opens. From the Configuration Options list, select columns, filters and sorting options for the report. To generate the report, select Refresh Report. The report appears on screen. Enter a New Authorization by Visits

Select the payer from the Insurance Information grid. Select the Visits option below the Precertification/Authorization grid. Use the fields below the Precertification/Authorization grid to enter the authorization information: NBR, Authorization #, Effective Date, Expiration Date and Visits. Note: You can use the Get button to populate the fields with authorization information that has already been attached to the Insurance in the NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select Get and then select the appropriate authorization from the picklist to pull into the Pre-Cert template fields. You must assign the NBR manually. Entries for Pre-Cert Company, Expiration Date, and Associated Diagnosis are optional. The Associated Diagnosis grid only displays Dx codes after you have established the treating diagnosis.
