You can document the details of radiology, therapy, lab, durable medical equipment (DME), and referral orders required for a patient and place all orders at once.
- Open the Home or any other applicable template, select Orders from the upper navigation bar, and then select Single Order.
- Select Dx & Px to add the necessary diagnoses and procedures.
Selecting procedures is optional; however, you must add at least one diagnosis to order external radiology tests, therapies, durable medical equipment (DME), lab tests, and referrals.
Note: You can use the
Radiology Picklists panel in the
Radiology Configuration template to make diagnosis-code selection mandatory for placing internal radiology test orders, depending on the category.

- Do one of the following:
- To document the order details from quick picks, select the provider set
or system set
icon.
Note: Quick pick refers to predefined order details that can be quickly filled into the different panels of the template, eliminating the need for manual entry. You can also save manually documented order details as a quick pick for future use.
- Manually enter the order details in relevant panels.
- Review and update the order details in the respective panels, and then select the checkbox to indicate that the order details are reviewed.
- Select Place Order.
The documents configured for orders in the Document Config template are sent to the document queue. If a task is configured for radiology orders in the Tasking Configuration template, the task is automatically assigned, or the Add New Task window opens based on the configuration.
- To generate all documents from the document queue, select Generate Documents
.
- To update an order, select it from the Today's Orders grid, select Edit, and then make the necessary changes.
