Order Therapies in the Therapy Order Template

You can place orders for various therapies for a patient and generate the order requisition. Open the Home or any other applicable template, select Orders from the upper navigation bar, and then select Therapy Order. The Therapy Order template opens. Note: The Date field displays the current date. You can update the date if needed. To add the diagnoses and procedures, select Dx & Px. Note: Selecting procedures is optional; however, you must select at least one diagnosis to order therapies. After you place the order, the documented diagnoses and procedures appear in the grid as follows: If you add more than four diagnoses, the first four diagnoses appear in the Diagnosis column, and the remaining appear in the Summary column. If you add more than one procedure, the first procedure appears in the Primary Sx column, and the remaining appear in the Summary column. Order External Equipment in the External DME Template

You can order durable medical equipment (DME) from external sources for orthopedic patients. Open the Home or any other applicable template, select Orders from the upper navigation bar, and then select External DME. The External DME template opens. To add diagnoses and procedures for the order, select Dx & Px. Note: Selecting procedures is optional; however, you must select at least one diagnosis to order equipment. Select the item to order from the Item grid. The selected item appears in the Item field. Note: You can add, update, and delete items in the Item grid. By default, the current date appears in Date. Select the duration of the item, the date of the injury, and the date of surgery. Enter the reason for the order. Select Place Order. Order Internal Equipment in the Internal DME Template

You can order durable medical equipment (DME) your practice can dispense. Open the Home or any other applicable template, select Orders from the upper navigation bar, and then select Internal DME. The Internal DME template opens. To add diagnoses and procedures for the order, select Dx & Px. Note: Selecting procedures is optional; however, you must select at least one diagnosis to order equipment. Select an item from the Orthotics and Prosthetics grid. The following fields are automatically filled: Item Charge Deposit Body Region Note: You can select any off-the-shelf (O), custom (C), or cash (CA) item. You can add, update, and delete items in the Orthotics and Prosthetics grid. Optional: Modify the charge. Order Radiology Tests in the Radiology Order Template

You can order radiology tests performed and billed in your practice or on at an external facility. On the Home or any other applicable template, select Orders from the upper navigation bar, and then select Radiology Order. The Radiology Order template opens. Select one of the following options for Performed: Internal Today for radiology tests performed and billed in your practice on the same day. Internal Later for radiology tests performed and billed in your practice on a future encounter. External for radiology tests performed and billed at an external facility. Do one of the following: To place radiology orders with diagnoses, select Dx & Px, and then add the necessary diagnoses. Note: You must add at least one diagnosis to order external radiology tests. You can use the Radiology Picklists panel in the Radiology Configuration template to make diagnosis-code selection mandatory for placing internal radiology test orders, depending on the category. You can place orders for lab tests performed and billed in your practice or at an external facility. Open the Home or any other applicable template, select Orders from the upper navigation bar, and then select Lab Order. The Lab Order template opens. To add the diagnoses and procedures, select Dx & Px. Note: Selecting procedures is optional; however, you must select at least one diagnosis to order lab tests. Select one of the following options: Internal for lab tests performed and billed in your practice on the same day. External for lab tests performed and billed at an external facility. From Performing Entity, select the entity performing the lab test. Optional: Select the priority. Note: By default, R - Routine appears in Priority. Document Details of Therapy Orders

You can document the details of therapy orders for orthopedic patients. Open the Home or any other applicable template, select Orders from the upper navigation bar, and then select Single Order. Expand the Therapy panel. Select an option to indicate if the patient is referred internally or externally for therapy. Select the date of injury, and then select the necessary treatment. Optional: Select other appropriate checkboxes for the therapy order. Optional: In Other physician goals, enter any additional information. Optional: Enter the certification period for the therapy order. Enter the weekly frequency and additional details. Note: You can enter the weekly frequency and duration, or only the number of visits required for therapy. Selecting the Up to Therapist checkbox eliminates the need to enter the weekly frequency, duration, and number of visits.
