Update Radiology and Lab Orders in the Orders Worklog
You can update the details of radiology and lab orders placed from any location of your practice.
- To open the Orders Worklog system template, do one of the following:
- Select File > System \ Practice Template, and then select Orders Worklog from the Select Template window.
- From the Home or any other applicable template, select Orders > Single Order to open the Single Order template, and then select the Orders Worklog link.
- Optional: Filter the orders in the grid by location and other options.
Note: All categories of orders placed from the selected location appear in the Orders Worklog template, except those with the Completed, Performed, and Cancelled statuses.
- To update a radiology or lab order, select the order from the grid, and then select Edit.
Note: The Edit button becomes available only if you select a radiology or lab order.The Worklog Management window opens.
- Update the necessary order details, add a message, and then select the appropriate order status.
You can also update radiology and lab order statuses other than Scheduled and Cancelled, and edit other types of orders by using the Single Order or Order Management template from the corresponding patient's chart.Note: For more information on the Order Management template, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Getting Started User Guide forNextGen®Adaptive Content Engine.
- To save the changes and return to the Orders Worklog template, select Update, and then select Close.
- Optional: To open a patient's chart through an order, select the order from the grid, and then select Launch Chart.
