Place Orders for Guideline Items

You can process the order placed for the care guidelines of the patient. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select the Care Guidelines link on any of the main template. The Care Guidelines Paged View template opens. In the Care Guidelines panel, select the Grid View link. The Care Guidelines grid view template opens. Select a guideline item in the grid. Details for the guideline appears in the fields. You can order items with status due, such as labs and diagnostic studies. Select Order. The item's Status displays ordered. For records that previously display the status due, such as labs and diagnostics, the Action field displays the date ordered. Care Guidelines Note: Orders placed for labs and radiology diagnostic studies are processed and submitted to the Order module using the Process and Submit Lab/Radiology Orders template. Place an Order for a Lab or Radiology Guideline Item Using the Order Module

You can place an order for a lab or radiology guideline item on the Order module. You can order lab and radiology orderable guideline items that are due from the Order module when the Enable Order Module setting in the Orders/Plans section on the Practice Configuration practice template is selected. Home Page The information on how to configure the Care Guidelines Paged View template to enable the direct placement of orders for guideline items from the Order module is as below: Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Care Guidelines Paged View template, review orderable guideline items active for the patient. Items that are due or past due display the date in red font Items that are due in the future display a date in black font Select the checkbox to the left of the lab or radiology guideline item you want to order.The Order module opens the Lab or Rad order tab, corresponding to the type of orderable guideline item you selected. Place Orders from the My Plan Template

You can place orders for the patient using the My Plan template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select the Care Guidelines link on any of the main template.The Care Guidelines Paged View template opens. In the Care Guidelines panel, select the Grid View link.The Care Guidelines grid view template opens. Expand the Recent Orders panel and select Add. The My Plan template opens. My Plan The My Plan template displays order items in the set appropriate for the selected assessment’s diagnosis category. To use a different template in the orders set, select the tab corresponding to the template to use (for example, Labs or Diagnostics). To add or change a diagnosis in the Today's Assessments grid, select Add or Edit. To change the current working assessment, select the diagnosis addressed for this encounter in the Today's Assessments grid.The selected diagnosis appears in the Selected Dx field. Process Lab Orders

You can process lab orders from the Process and Submit Lab/Radiology Orders template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Checkout template. Expand the Today's Orders panel. Select the Lab/Radiology Order Processing link.The Process and Submit Lab/Radiology Orders template opens. Process and Submit Lab/Radiology Orders template Select Labs or Radiology. Select the Vendor field, and select the vendor name from the list. Select the Unsubmitted option. In the Today's Orders grid, select the row for the order.The Include selected order button appears. To move the order to the Orders for Selected Vendor section, select Include selected order. To answer any questions associated with the orders, select AOE. You can process the order placed for care guidelines for a patient. You can process orders placed for labs and radiology diagnostic studies and submit to the Order module using the Process and Submit Lab/Radiology Orders template. Update Radiology and Lab Orders in the Orders Worklog

You can update the details of radiology and lab orders placed from any location of your practice. To open the Orders Worklog system template, do one of the following: Select File > System \ Practice Template, and then select Orders Worklog from the Select Template window. From the Home or any other applicable template, select Orders > Single Order to open the Single Order template, and then select the Orders Worklog link. Optional: Filter the orders in the grid by location and other options. Note: All categories of orders placed from the selected location appear in the Orders Worklog template, except those with the Completed, Performed, and Cancelled statuses.
