Access Home Page - OPH

Open a patient record. Click Templates on the History toolbar. The Select Template window appears. Select the Medical Records tab. In the Show section, select the All option to display the full list of templates. Select Home Page - OPH and click OK. Retinal Procedures

The Procedures - OPH template provides a central location from which you can open specialty diagnostic testing and other procedures for General and Retina Ophthalmology. The workflow for testing and procedures is shared between the provider and the technician. With Retinal diagnostic testing, there is a technical component that is performed by the technician and a professional interpretation component that is performed by the provider. Physical Exams in Ophthalmology

On the Provider - OPH template, the Physical Exam panel includes: Exams performed by the technician or assistant, which are later to be reviewed and updated by the provider Exams that are performed only by the provider Providers can update exams using the following options to document in the Physical Exam panel: Exam links in the left pane of the OD and OS grids Other links in the panel Exam fields Abnormal exam findings appear in the grids with an exclamation mark and a red circle appears in the left pane next to the corresponding exam. You can use the Refresh button to update the grids after you document or update exam findings. Complete the Ophthalmology Provider Workflow

For most office visit encounters in general Ophthalmology, the following is a basic outline of the workflow for the provider portion of the visit. To review historical information of the patient, go to the Home Page – OPH template. Go to the Provider – OPH template to document the provider's portion of the encounter. Note: For certain encounters, there are specific single-page visit templates, such as Postoperative Exam – OPH. Select the Provider Summary link to review patient information for today's encounter. Select the Eye Summary link to view current and historical patient findings in a grid. Expand the General panel to review general patient information, the Health Monitor, and Internal Physician Notes. Expand the Orders panel to review, update, and add orders. Expand the Medications panel to review or update medications and perform medication reconciliation, if appropriate. Expand the Reason for Visit panel to review the technician conversation, makes any updates, and sign-off on

Historical Diagnostic Tests

You can view historical data for diagnostic tests for the patient on the Historical Diagnostic Tests - OPH template, which you can access from the left navigation pane. The Add to HPI button adds the selected diagnostic study with an Interpretation or Result to the grid in the Reason for Visit panel. Providers can also add entries to the Diagnostic Test History grid.
