In the
Visual Acuity/Lensometry/Refraction
panel, go to the
Lensometry/Refraction
section.
Click the
Dilation
link above the
Lensometry/Refraction
grids.
The
Patient Dilation - OPH
template opens and displays previously documented dilation information.
Review the information and select a row in the grid to make changes.
The fields fill with the corresponding data from the selected row.
Make the applicable changes and click
Update
.
Click
Save & Close

Update Lensometry and Refraction Findings
Click the Lensometry/Refraction link. The Oph Eyetech template opens and displays the Lensometry/Refraction panel. You can review the values that were documented by the technician. Make changes to lensometry and refraction values. See Ophthalmic Exam Findings Options for more information. Click OK. The lensometry values are updated in the Lensometry/Refraction grids. Complete the Ophthalmology Provider Workflow
For most office visit encounters in general Ophthalmology, the following is a basic outline of the workflow for the provider portion of the visit. To review historical information of the patient, go to the Home Page – OPH template. Go to the Provider – OPH template to document the provider's portion of the encounter. Note: For certain encounters, there are specific single-page visit templates, such as Postoperative Exam – OPH. Select the Provider Summary link to review patient information for today's encounter. Select the Eye Summary link to view current and historical patient findings in a grid. Expand the General panel to review general patient information, the Health Monitor, and Internal Physician Notes. Expand the Orders panel to review, update, and add orders. Expand the Medications panel to review or update medications and perform medication reconciliation, if appropriate. Expand the Reason for Visit panel to review the technician conversation, makes any updates, and sign-off on

Review Motility Findings
Click the Motility link in the Visual Acuity/Lensometry/Refraction panel. The age-appropriate Eye Motility Detail - OPH template opens. Review the exam findings and make changes as needed. Reviewing and Updating the Visual Acuity Exam Findings
The Visual Acuity section of the Visual Acuity/Lensometry/Refraction panel displays exam findings for the last five encounters. You can click the Visual Acuity link to add new and review historical exam findings on the Oph EyeTech template. In provider workflow, the visual acuity findings documented by the technician should be reviewed and updated, if appropriate. Visual Acuity findings are documented using serial lists . Findings for an exam parameter are entered, followed by a modifier for the parameter. Parameters are organized into separate rows for OD, OS, and OU and by columns for Distant Visual Acuity (Dva) and Near Visual Acuity (Nva). visual actutiy section Update Previously Documented Visual Acuity Exam Findings Parent topic: Ophthalmology Provider Workflow

Review Patient Dilation
Providers can review or document dilation on the Dilation/Other Meds - OPH template. From the Eye Summary template, click the Dilation link to open the Dilation/Other Meds - OPH template. Access Patient Dilation/Other Medications
Patient dilation and other eye drop medications can be documented directly on the Dilation/Other Medications panel. To access Patient Dilation/Other Medications, do one of the following: From the Prelim Exam – OPH template, expand the Patient Dilation/Other Medications panel. From the Provider – OPH template, click the Dilation link to open the Dilation/Other Medications - OPH template.
