Ophthalmic providers document HPI information on the
Generic HPI - OPH template in the
Provider HPI Details section. When you open the
Generic HPI - OPH template you can document additional reasons for visit.
All chief complaints selected as reasons for visit, except retina, are documented on the Generic HPI - OPH template. If previously selected, the chief complaint retina appears in the Chief complaint details grid, but you can only update the HPI information on the Retina History of Present Illness - OPH template.
Note: The Chief complaint details grid displays only the technician’s documentation. The final HPI grid shows the provider’s updates and notes.
