Add a Chief Complaint on the HPI Generic OPH Template as a Provider

  1. To add a chief complaint on the HPI Generic OPH template, click the Concern field.
  2. Select any complaint, except retina, from the list on the Reason for Visit window and click Save & Close.
    The selected complaint appears in the Chief complaint details grid.
  3. Select the newly entered chief complaint in the grid.
  4. In the Provider HPI Details section, choose the desired options below:
    • To enter HPI information using the HPI links, starting with the Location detail link, click a detail link and select details from the list that opens.

      A summary statement builds in the large HPI details field as you document HPI details, and the system selects the corresponding check box.

    • At any point, you can type additional information in the HPI details field.
    • You can enter additional details using the My Phrases link.
  5. Click Update.
