Delete a Reason for Visit on the HPI Generic OPH Template
You can delete any chief complaints, except retina, on the
Generic HPI - OPH
template.
From the
Reason for Visit
panel, select the chief complaint to remove in the
Reason for Visit/History of Present Illness
grid.
Highlight the chief complaint in the
Chief complaint details
grid and click
Delete
.
The complaint no longer appears in the
Chief complaint details
grid. The system clears the
Concern(s)
field.
Click
Close

Change the Order of Chief Complaints on the HPI Generic OPH Template

Edit an Ophthalmic Chief Complaint
Before you begin You must first document a chief complaint on the HPI Generic - OPH template prior to editing. vefore On the HPI Generic - OPH template, select the complaint to edit in the Chief complaint details grid. The selected complaint details appear in the Chief complaint details field in the Technician Conversation section. Note: If you select retina from the Chief complaints details grid, the system displays an alert above the grid and changes the fields on the HPI Generic OPH template to read-only. In the Technician Conversation section, click one or more of the HPI details links and select a value from the list. Retina History of Present Illness
You must document the retina chief complaint on the Retina History of Present Illness - OPH. After documenting Retina HPI information on the Retina History of Present Illness - OPH template, the concatenated information appears in the Reason for Visit panel. Note: You can only update the retina chief complaint on the Retina History of Present Illness - OPH template. Enter Ophthalmic Chief Complaints
Technicians can document HPI details in the Technician Conversation section of the Generic HPI - OPH template for ophthalmic complaints except for retina. Note: You must document the retina chief complaint on the Retina History of Present Illness - OPH template. On the Reason for Visit panel, do one of the following to open the Generic HPI - OPH template: Click a chief complaint in the left pane. Select a chief complaint in the Reason for Visit/History of Present Illness grid. The Generic HPI - OPH template opens with the chief complaints appearing in the Chief complaint details grid. hpi generic oph Select a chief complaint in the Chief complaints details grid. Additional Reason for Visit Panel Features
Additional features on the Reason for Visit panel enable you to adjust how you document chief complaints and HPI information, indicate follow-up visits, review the patient's HPI history, and remove studies reviewed from the grid. Feature Description Do not launch HPI Enables you to select one or more chief complaints/reasons for visit from the list without opening the HPI template To open the HPI template after selecting reasons for visit, click the row of one of the chief complaints listed in the grid. Additional/Manage Located in the left pane and opens the Reason for Visit template, where you can indicate a follow-up visit or you can type a chief complaint. Remove Chronic Conditions from the Reason for Visit
Diagnostic studies added to the history of present illness in the Reason for Visit panel appear in the grid with Studies Reviewed in the Reason for Visit column. On the Intake- OPH template, expand the Reason for Visit panel. Select the Chronic Conditions record from the grid. The Remove button will been enabled. Click Remove. The Chronic Conditions record no longer appears in the grid. Note: Removing the record from the Reason for Visit grid does not remove it from the chronic conditions grid.
