Remove a Studies Reviewed from Reason for Visit

Diagnostic studies added to the history of present illness in the Reason for Visit panel appear in the grid with Studies Reviewed in the Reason for Visit column. On the Intake- OPH template, expand the Reason for Visit panel. Select the Studies Reviewed record from the grid. The Remove button will be enabled. Click Remove. The Studies Reviewed record no longer appears in the grid. Note: Removing the record from the grid in the Reason for Visit panel does not remove it from the historical diagnostic tests or orders grids. Parent topic: Reason for Visit

Delete a Reason for Visit on the HPI Generic OPH Template

You can delete any chief complaints, except retina, on the Generic HPI - OPH template. From the Reason for Visit panel, select the chief complaint to remove in the Reason for Visit/History of Present Illness grid. Highlight the chief complaint in the Chief complaint details grid and click Delete. The complaint no longer appears in the Chief complaint details grid. The system clears the Concern(s) field. Additional Reason for Visit Panel Features

Additional features on the Reason for Visit panel enable you to adjust how you document chief complaints and HPI information, indicate follow-up visits, review the patient's HPI history, and remove studies reviewed from the grid. Feature Description Do not launch HPI Enables you to select one or more chief complaints/reasons for visit from the list without opening the HPI template To open the HPI template after selecting reasons for visit, click the row of one of the chief complaints listed in the grid. Additional/Manage Located in the left pane and opens the Reason for Visit template, where you can indicate a follow-up visit or you can type a chief complaint. The Reason for Visit template includes a complete list of chief complaints for the specialty Historic HPI Opens the Historic HPI template, where you can see the patient’s history of chief complaints and HPI details in a concatenated summary format for Ophthalmic specialties or all specialties Intake Comments Used by Intake staff

Remove a Historical Diagnostic Test from the HPI Grid

On the Historical Diagnostic Tests - OPH template, select a diagnostic test that was added to the HPI grid. The Remove from HPI Grid button is enabled. Click Remove from HPI Grid. The Studies Reviewed record no longer appears in the grid in the Reason for Visit panel. Reasons for Visit of Patients

You can document a patient's reasons for visit. On the Reason for Visit panel, you can document the common reasons for a patient visit. You can view the configurable specialty-specific reasons for visit list on the left pane. When you select a reason for visit that is already selected in the current encounter, a message appears highlighting the duplication. You can retain or remove the duplicate reason for visit. You can select up to 14 History of Present Illness (HPIs) simultaneously. Additionally, you can select the Do not launch HPI checkbox and any HPI to open the corresponding HPI template. Note: You can configure sub menu items for the reason for visit on the Framework Content system template for the specialty. Based on the configuration, on the applicable template, the sub menu items appear in the Reason for Visit panel on the left pane under the respective HPI. Reason for Visit

You can document the reason for visit as described by the patient on the Reason for Visit panel. In NextGen® Ophthalmic Suite, the retina reason for visit opens the Retina History of Present Illness - OPH template. All other reasons for visit open the Generic HPI - OPH template. Once opened, you can document multiple reasons for visits on the Generic HPI - OPH template. The Diagnostics button opens the Historical Diagnostic Tests - OPH template, where you can review historical diagnostic tests and add them to the HPI grid. You can configure the Reason for Visit panel on the Framework Content system template.
