panel. You can view or update existing orders and add new orders. Order categories include appointment requests, diagnostic, and lab orders.

Scheduling and Tasking Retinal Tests and Office Procedures
Ophthalmology testing and office procedures can be ordered and tasked to a technician from the specialty-specific Order Tests - OPH template and scheduled for today and in the future. Note: For most Ophthalmology diagnostic tests, you can only perform and document a test one time during an encounter. To perform the test again, you must create a new encounter. Managing Today's Orders
You can process lab or radiology orders documented by the provider on the My Plan template. You can add and edit an order in the Today's Orders panel. To place any follow-up order, you can use the Follow Up button. Several types of orders are available in the Today's Orders panel. The numbers next to the order types indicate the number of items in the queue for that type of order. In the beginning, you must select the order type, and then you need to select Add or Edit to open the respective order template to add or update the details. To place an order from the Orders Console template, you must select the Enable Order Module check box in the Orders/Plans section on the Practice Configuration template. Edit Ophthalmic Diagnostic Order in the Order Panel
On the Provider tab, expand the Orders panel, select Diagnostic Orders from the Filters section.A grid with existing diagnostic tests appears. Select an order from the grid. oph diagnostic order editing Update the order details in the appropriate sections. Enter a test note or complication, if any. Click Follow Up to add follow up details, if applicable. Enter result or interpretation by using either free text or My Phrases or select from the Interpretation picklist. Note: For information on configuring interpretations for the diagnostic tests, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Setup Guide for NextGen® Ophthalmic Suite. If an ordered test has been performed, click Test Performed to update the status of the test. If an ordered test has been completed, click Test Completed to update the status of the test. Order and Schedule Ophthalmic Tests
To place orders for Ophthalmic diagnostic tests and send a task to a technician, do the following: Open the Provider - OPH template and expand the Orders panel. Click Add Diagnositc Test.A grid with diffrerent diagnostic tests appears. orders panel Select an appropriate test from the grid. Order and Schedule Ophthalmic TestsSelect a side from the picklist Click the Diagnosis field to select appropriate diagnosis from the DX history window or select the diagnosis using the Diagnosis Lookup link. In Schedule tests, select Today or select Other and select a timeframe. Select the appropriate transits and location Select Patient may leave after test, if applicable Enter additional comments in the Order Comment field In the Ordered field, by default the current provider is selected. However, you can change the user if necessary by clicking the Ordered field and selecting the desired user. To task a technician about the tests being ordered, click the Task button. Orders
Patient orders appear in the Orders panel. You can display orders by category using the Filter options in the panel. You can also filter Diagnostic Orders to display All tests or sort by the order status. The order categories are as follows: Appointment Requests/Orders Diagnostic Orders Labs oph order panel The Order Management link in the Orders panel opens the Order Management template, where you can update the status, co-sign, or cancel orders. Update a Lab Order
Open the Provider - OPH template, expand the Orders panel, and then select Labs from the Filters section.A grid with all the lab orders appears. Select an order from the grid and then click Edit.The Lab - Orders window opens. lab orders window Update the appropriate sections.
