Retinal Diagnostics

Retinal diagnostics are ordered and scheduled, performed, and results documented and interpreted on the 4-tab Retinal Diagnostics template set. The Retinal Diagnostics template set can be opened from the Procedures – OPH template using the Retina Diagnostics link. Depending on the diagnostic test, actual testing performed by the technician can be completed on the Perform Test template of the Retinal Diagnostics template set or on the Testing - OPH template. Ophthalmic Orders

Ophthalmic providers can review orders for the patient in the Orders panel. You can view or update existing orders and add new orders. Order categories include appointment requests, diagnostic, and lab orders. olders panel View Orders Order and Schedule Ophthalmic Tests Brief summary for placing orders for Ophthalmic diagnostic studies and tasking a technician. Edit Ophthalmic Diagnostic Order in the Order Panel You can update ophthalmic diagnostic order in the Order panel. Add a Lab Order You can add a lab order from the Orders panel. Update a Lab Order You can edit and update the status of a lab order from the Orders panel. Retinal Procedures

The Procedures - OPH template provides a central location from which you can open specialty diagnostic testing and other procedures for General and Retina Ophthalmology. The workflow for testing and procedures is shared between the provider and the technician. With Retinal diagnostic testing, there is a technical component that is performed by the technician and a professional interpretation component that is performed by the provider. Order and Schedule Ophthalmic Tests

To place orders for Ophthalmic diagnostic tests and send a task to a technician, do the following: Open the Provider - OPH template and expand the Orders panel. Click Add Diagnositc Test.A grid with diffrerent diagnostic tests appears. orders panel Select an appropriate test from the grid. Order and Schedule Ophthalmic TestsSelect a side from the picklist Click the Diagnosis field to select appropriate diagnosis from the DX history window or select the diagnosis using the Diagnosis Lookup link. In Schedule tests, select Today or select Other and select a timeframe. Select the appropriate transits and location Select Patient may leave after test, if applicable Enter additional comments in the Order Comment field In the Ordered field, by default the current provider is selected. However, you can change the user if necessary by clicking the Ordered field and selecting the desired user. To task a technician about the tests being ordered, click the Task button.
