Access the Order Tests - OPH Template

Providers can order and schedule diagnostic testing and procedures specific to Ophthalmology on the Order Tests - OPH template or by accessing Orders panel. To access the Order Tests - OPH template. Order and Schedule Ophthalmic Tests

To place orders for Ophthalmic diagnostic tests and send a task to a technician, do the following: Open the Provider - OPH template and expand the Orders panel. Click Add Diagnositc Test.A grid with diffrerent diagnostic tests appears. orders panel Select an appropriate test from the grid. Order and Schedule Ophthalmic TestsSelect a side from the picklist Click the Diagnosis field to select appropriate diagnosis from the DX history window or select the diagnosis using the Diagnosis Lookup link. In Schedule tests, select Today or select Other and select a timeframe. Select the appropriate transits and location Select Patient may leave after test, if applicable Enter additional comments in the Order Comment field In the Ordered field, by default the current provider is selected. However, you can change the user if necessary by clicking the Ordered field and selecting the desired user. To task a technician about the tests being ordered, click the Task button. Scheduling and Tasking Retinal Tests and Office Procedures

Ophthalmology testing and office procedures can be ordered and tasked to a technician from the specialty-specific Order Tests - OPH template and scheduled for today and in the future. Note: For most Ophthalmology diagnostic tests, you can only perform and document a test one time during an encounter. To perform the test again, you must create a new encounter. Retinal Diagnostics

Retinal diagnostics are ordered and scheduled, performed, and results documented and interpreted on the 4-tab Retinal Diagnostics template set. The Retinal Diagnostics template set can be opened from the Procedures – OPH template using the Retina Diagnostics link. Depending on the diagnostic test, actual testing performed by the technician can be completed on the Perform Test template of the Retinal Diagnostics template set or on the Testing - OPH template. Retinal Procedures

The Procedures - OPH template provides a central location from which you can open specialty diagnostic testing and other procedures for General and Retina Ophthalmology. The workflow for testing and procedures is shared between the provider and the technician. With Retinal diagnostic testing, there is a technical component that is performed by the technician and a professional interpretation component that is performed by the provider. Request Retina Diagnostic Testing

From the Request Diagnostic Tests tab of the Retina Diagnostics tabbed template set, providers can schedule one or more tests and task a technician with completing those tests using the Order Tests - OPH template. Access the Retina Diagnostics template set. On the Request Diagnostic Tests tab below the Orders grid, click Add New. The Order Tests - OPH template opens.
