Update a Lab Order

Open the Provider - OPH template, expand the Orders panel, and then select Labs from the Filters section.A grid with all the lab orders appears. Order and Schedule Ophthalmic Tests

To place orders for Ophthalmic diagnostic tests and send a task to a technician, do the following: Open the Provider - OPH template and expand the Orders panel. Click Add Diagnositc Test.A grid with diffrerent diagnostic tests appears. orders panel Select an appropriate test from the grid. Order and Schedule Ophthalmic TestsSelect a side from the picklist Click the Diagnosis field to select appropriate diagnosis from the DX history window or select the diagnosis using the Diagnosis Lookup link. In Schedule tests, select Today or select Other and select a timeframe. Select the appropriate transits and location Select Patient may leave after test, if applicable Enter additional comments in the Order Comment field In the Ordered field, by default the current provider is selected. However, you can change the user if necessary by clicking the Ordered field and selecting the desired user. To task a technician about the tests being ordered, click the Task button. Ophthalmic Orders

Ophthalmic providers can review orders for the patient in the Orders panel. You can view or update existing orders and add new orders. Update an Order to Indicate the Diagnostic Test was Performed

After performing a Retinal diagnostic test, technicians can update the test order to indicate that the test was performed. Access the Retina Diagnostics template set. Select the Perform Test tab.The Retina Perform Diagnostic Test - OPH template opens. From the Ordered Diagnostic Tests section, select the Show Ordered option to filter what appears in the Orders grid. In the Orders grid, select the row in the grid with the order you wish to update. Details for the selected row appear in the data fields in the Selected Test Details section below the grid. To document notes and complications, in the Selected Test Details section, enter the text in the large Notes/complications field. Click Test Performed.The test order is updated to include the following details: Performed by Performed date Performed time The status of the test is updated to completed and a Test completed indicator appears on the panel for the test. test performed indication The test now appears when the Orders grid is fil
