Order Ophthalmic Diagnostic Tests from Orders Panel

  1. Open the Intake - OPH template and then expand the Orders panel.
  2. Click Add Diagnostic Test.
    A grid with different diagnostic tests appears.

  3. Select an appropriate test from the grid.
  4. Select a side from the picklist
  5. Click the Diagnosis field to select appropriate diagnosis from the DX history window or select the diagnosis using the Diagnosis Lookup link.
  6. In Schedule tests, select Today or select Other and select a timeframe.
  7. Select the appropriate transits and location.
  8. Select Patient may leave after test, if applicable.
  9. Enter additional comments in the Order Comment field.
  10. In the Ordered field, by default, the current provider is selected. However, you can change the user if necessary by clicking the Ordered field and selecting the desired user.
  11. To task a technician about the tests being ordered, click the Task button.
  12. Click Place Order.
    The diagnostic test order appears in the grid.
