Performing Diagnostic Tests for Retina

The Retina Perform Diagnostic Test – OPH template (seen as the Perform Test tab) is generally used by technicians after completing the ordered tests to document the completion of Retina diagnostic testing and to notify the provider. Indicate that a Diagnostic Test was Performed

Before you begin Perform the ordered Ophthalmology diagnostic test. After you have performed an Ophthalmology diagnostic test, you can update the status of the test order to indicate that the diagnostic test was performed. Access the Testing- OPH template. On the Ordered Diagnostic Tests panel, select the Ordered to filter the grid. Highlight the row in the Orders.Details for the selected row display in the data fields below the grid. The Show option changes to Selected test. Click Test Performed.The test order is updated to include the following details: Performed by Performed date Performed time The status of the test is updated to obtained in the grid. A Test performed indicator appears on the panel for the test. Indicate that a Diagnostic Test was Completed

Before you begin You can document that the diagnostic test was performed and enter the findings or results on the Testing - OPH template. After you have documented the test results and interpretations on the Ophthalmology Diagnostic Tests panel, the status of the test is updated. Access the Testing - OPH template. On the Ordered Diagnostic Tests panel, select one of the following the options Show options to filter the grid. All Tests Obtained Selected test Highlight the row in the Orders grid that displays the diagnostic test you want to update. Details for the selected row display in the data fields below the grid. The selected Show option changes to Selected test. In the corresponding panel for the selected test, click Test Completed. Edit Ophthalmic Diagnostic Order in the Order Panel

On the Provider tab, expand the Orders panel, select Diagnostic Orders from the Filters section.A grid with existing diagnostic tests appears. Select an order from the grid. oph diagnostic order editing Update the order details in the appropriate sections. Enter a test note or complication, if any. Click Follow Up to add follow up details, if applicable. Enter result or interpretation by using either free text or My Phrases or select from the Interpretation picklist. Note: For information on configuring interpretations for the diagnostic tests, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Setup Guide for NextGen® Ophthalmic Suite. If an ordered test has been performed, click Test Performed to update the status of the test. If an ordered test has been completed, click Test Completed to update the status of the test. Request Retina Diagnostic Testing

From the Request Diagnostic Tests tab of the Retina Diagnostics tabbed template set, providers can schedule one or more tests and task a technician with completing those tests using the Order Tests - OPH template. Access the Retina Diagnostics template set. On the Request Diagnostic Tests tab below the Orders grid, click Add New. The Order Tests - OPH template opens. Select, schedule, and place orders for diagnostic testing and procedures. Orders for testing and procedures appear in the Order grid. Parent topic: Retinal Diagnostics

Order Ophthalmic Diagnostic Tests from Orders Panel

Open the Intake - OPH template and then expand the Orders panel. Click Add Diagnostic Test.A grid with different diagnostic tests appears. add diagnostic test Select an appropriate test from the grid. Select a side from the picklist Click the Diagnosis field to select appropriate diagnosis from the DX history window or select the diagnosis using the Diagnosis Lookup link. In Schedule tests, select Today or select Other and select a timeframe. Select the appropriate transits and location. Select Patient may leave after test, if applicable. Enter additional comments in the Order Comment field. In the Ordered field, by default, the current provider is selected. However, you can change the user if necessary by clicking the Ordered field and selecting the desired user. To task a technician about the tests being ordered, click the Task button.
