Indicate that a Diagnostic Test was Performed

Before you begin Perform the ordered Ophthalmology diagnostic test. After you have performed an Ophthalmology diagnostic test, you can update the status of the test order to indicate that the diagnostic test was performed. Access the Testing- OPH template. On the Ordered Diagnostic Tests panel, select the Ordered to filter the grid. Highlight the row in the Orders.Details for the selected row display in the data fields below the grid. The Show option changes to Selected test. Click Test Performed.The test order is updated to include the following details: Performed by Performed date Performed time The status of the test is updated to obtained in the grid. A Test performed indicator appears on the panel for the test. Enter Results for Ophthalmology Diagnostic Tests

Before you begin Place orders for diagnostic tests. You can document results, impressions, and comments for Ophthalmology diagnostic tests performed on the Testing - OPH template. Access the Testing - OPH template. In the Ordered Diagnostic Tests section, select an order in the grid. The fields in the Selected Tests Details section fill with the order details. Expand the corresponding test panel. The following diagnostic tests appear on their own panels and are billed separately: A-Scan, IOL, Endothelial Cell Count, Pachymetry, Corneal Topography, Slit Lamp Photos, External Photos, and Farnsworth. Enter the Interpretation and findings for the test in the corresponding fields. For diagnostic tests on their own panel, the Test Completed button in the test panel is enabled. Click Test Completed. Update Details for an Ordered Ophthalmology Diagnostic Test

You can update test details for Ophthalmology diagnostic testing directly on the Ordered Diagnostic Tests panel on the Testing - OPH template. Access the Order Tests - OPH template. On the Ordered Diagnostic Tests panel select the Ordered option above the grid. Highlight the row in the grid. Details for the selected row display in the Selected Test Details section. Diagnostic Testing Performed by Technicians

Diagnostic tests performed by the technician are ordered and documented on the Testing – OPH template. Orders for testing must be placed before billable tests are performed. On the Testing – OPH template, tests are organized in panels. You can expand the panels to view the data fields for documenting a test. Note: Because Slit Lamp and External Photos use the same billing code, two billing lines appear in the Procedure Billing grid. Update an Order to Indicate the Diagnostic Test was Performed

After performing a Retinal diagnostic test, technicians can update the test order to indicate that the test was performed. Access the Retina Diagnostics template set. Select the Perform Test tab.The Retina Perform Diagnostic Test - OPH template opens. From the Ordered Diagnostic Tests section, select the Show Ordered option to filter what appears in the Orders grid. In the Orders grid, select the row in the grid with the order you wish to update. Details for the selected row appear in the data fields in the Selected Test Details section below the grid. To document notes and complications, in the Selected Test Details section, enter the text in the large Notes/complications field. Edit Ophthalmic Diagnostic Order in the Order Panel

On the Provider tab, expand the Orders panel, select Diagnostic Orders from the Filters section.A grid with existing diagnostic tests appears. Select an order from the grid. oph diagnostic order editing Update the order details in the appropriate sections. Enter a test note or complication, if any. Click Follow Up to add follow up details, if applicable. Enter result or interpretation by using either free text or My Phrases or select from the Interpretation picklist. Note: For information on configuring interpretations for the diagnostic tests, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Setup Guide for NextGen® Ophthalmic Suite. If an ordered test has been performed, click Test Performed to update the status of the test. If an ordered test has been completed, click Test Completed to update the status of the test.
