Orders

Patient orders appear in the Orders panel. You can display orders by category using the Filter options in the panel. You can also filter Diagnostic Orders to display All tests or sort by the order status. The order categories are as follows: Appointment Requests/Orders Diagnostic Orders Labs oph order panel The Order Management link in the Orders panel opens the Order Management template, where you can update the status, co-sign, or cancel orders. The Follow-up button opens the Follow-up/Disposition template, where you can place follow-up orders. Enter Results for Ophthalmology Diagnostic Tests

Before you begin Place orders for diagnostic tests. You can document results, impressions, and comments for Ophthalmology diagnostic tests performed on the Testing - OPH template. Access the Testing - OPH template. In the Ordered Diagnostic Tests section, select an order in the grid. The fields in the Selected Tests Details section fill with the order details. Expand the corresponding test panel. The following diagnostic tests appear on their own panels and are billed separately: A-Scan, IOL, Endothelial Cell Count, Pachymetry, Corneal Topography, Slit Lamp Photos, External Photos, and Farnsworth. Enter the Interpretation and findings for the test in the corresponding fields. For diagnostic tests on their own panel, the Test Completed button in the test panel is enabled. Click Test Completed. Indicate that a Diagnostic Test was Performed

Before you begin Perform the ordered Ophthalmology diagnostic test. After you have performed an Ophthalmology diagnostic test, you can update the status of the test order to indicate that the diagnostic test was performed. Access the Testing- OPH template. On the Ordered Diagnostic Tests panel, select the Ordered to filter the grid. Highlight the row in the Orders.Details for the selected row display in the data fields below the grid. The Show option changes to Selected test. Click Test Performed.The test order is updated to include the following details: Performed by Performed date Performed time The status of the test is updated to obtained in the grid. A Test performed indicator appears on the panel for the test. Indicate that a Diagnostic Test was Completed

Before you begin You can document that the diagnostic test was performed and enter the findings or results on the Testing - OPH template. After you have documented the test results and interpretations on the Ophthalmology Diagnostic Tests panel, the status of the test is updated. Access the Testing - OPH template. On the Ordered Diagnostic Tests panel, select one of the following the options Show options to filter the grid. All Tests Obtained Selected test Highlight the row in the Orders grid that displays the diagnostic test you want to update. Details for the selected row display in the data fields below the grid. The selected Show option changes to Selected test. In the corresponding panel for the selected test, click Test Completed. Update Details for an Ordered Ophthalmology Diagnostic Test

You can update test details for Ophthalmology diagnostic testing directly on the Ordered Diagnostic Tests panel on the Testing - OPH template. Access the Order Tests - OPH template. On the Ordered Diagnostic Tests panel select the Ordered option above the grid. Highlight the row in the grid. Details for the selected row display in the Selected Test Details section. Ophthalmology Diagnostic Tests Setup Data Set

The Oph diagnostic tests data set manages records that control how certain diagnostic tests used by Ophthalmology are processed. These data set records control billing options, how records are sent to the Orders module, computerized provider order entry (CPOE), and if they are displayed on the test ordering template. Each row in the grid represents a single diagnostic test. The following shows the diagnostic test information contained in the Oph diagnostic tests data set as it appears on the Order Tests – OPH template in the Select tests section. Up to 40 tests display. Tests performed today and tests to be performed in the future can be ordered from the Order Tests – OPH template. Tests that are ordered are saved to the order_table and they can be uploaded to the Orders module.
