Order and Schedule Ophthalmic Tests

To place orders for Ophthalmic diagnostic tests and send a task to a technician, do the following: Open the Provider - OPH template and expand the Orders panel. Click Add Diagnositc Test.A grid with diffrerent diagnostic tests appears. orders panel Select an appropriate test from the grid. Order and Schedule Ophthalmic TestsSelect a side from the picklist Click the Diagnosis field to select appropriate diagnosis from the DX history window or select the diagnosis using the Diagnosis Lookup link. In Schedule tests, select Today or select Other and select a timeframe. Select the appropriate transits and location Select Patient may leave after test, if applicable Enter additional comments in the Order Comment field In the Ordered field, by default the current provider is selected. However, you can change the user if necessary by clicking the Ordered field and selecting the desired user. To task a technician about the tests being ordered, click the Task button. Document Follow-up Details

You can enter follow-up appointment and disposition details on the Follow-up/Disposition template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the SOAP template. In the Assessment / Plan panel, select the Follow Up button.The Follow-up/Disposition template opens. Follow-up/Disposition template The Follow-up/Disposition template is part of a group of templates that use the last assessment or diagnosis selected on any of the templates in the group as the working assessment. The application defaults to the current working assessment. If required, you can select another assessment, which becomes the new working assessment that carries forward to the other templates in the group. Do one of the following: Select the diagnosis in the grid. In the Follow-up section, select follow up along with other details and the suggested time for the follow-up visit. To select a new diagnosis or modify an existing assessment for the current patient, select Add/Edit Assessment. With the correct description selected

Place a Follow-up or Disposition Order

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Do one of the following: In the Assessment Plan panel, click the A/P Details link in the left pane. On the My Plan (PT) template, click the A/P Details tab. The Assessment Plan Details template opens. Click Follow Up.The Follow-up/Disposition template opens. Follow-up/Disposition template To add or update the working assessment, select the diagnosis in the grid. Select the follow up checkbox. Enter the details and time for the follow-up visit. In the Disposition field, select an option from the list. If the applicable option is not available in the list, click the top blank row and then type a value in the Disposition field. If the patient refused the selected disposition, select the Refused checkbox. In the Reason field, select an option from the list. In the Timeframe field, select an option from the list. Click Place Order.The fields clear so that another follow-up appointment can be entered. The follow-up appointments appear in the Assessment/Plan grid

Capture the Follow-up and Disposition Details for an Assessment

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a patient's record, and then open an encounter. Open the Intake template, select the specialty as Family Practice and the visit type as Office Visit, and then select My Plan. The My Plan window opens. Select the A/P Details tab and then select Follow Up.The Follow-up/Disposition template window opens. Follow-up/Disposition template Select an assessment from the grid. In the Follow-up section, select the follow up details for the patient. Note: To enter a custom reason, select the blank row and enter the details. In the Disposition section, select the desposition details. Note: To enter a custom reason, select the blank row and enter the details. Select Place Order. Note: Place Order is active only if you select the diagnosis and the follow up checkbox. Select OK. Note: If you select OK without placing an order, a confirmation message appears. Add or Update Assessment Template

You can open the Add or Update Assessment template using the Assessments link in the My Plan template. The Add or Update Assessment template allows you to add and update assessments. Add or Update Assessment Grids in Add or Update Assessment Template You can add or update the assessment template. Open the Assessments Tab You can open the assessment tab using Add or Update Assessment template. Order Ophthalmology Diagnostic Tests and Task a Technician

You can order ophthalmic diagnostic testing on the Assessment/Plan - OPH template, from the A/I/P Details panel in the Plan section. In the Plan section, go to the A/I/P Details panel and do one of the following: Select an assessment. Select the General RTC check box in the Return To Clinic section. If you select the General RTC check box and then click the Indication field, the diagnosis search window opens to select a diagnosis. Click the Order Tests link in the Plan section. The Order Test – OPH template opens. The Priority displays Normal by default. To change the displayed priority, click the field and select from the list. The Ordered date field defaults to the current encounter date. To change the date, click the field and select from the onscreen Calendar. Click the Indication field and select a diagnosis using the diagnosis search window. Subject displays Test Request by default. To change, click the Subject field and enter the subject.
