Document Follow Up Details

In the Orders panel, click Follow Up. follow-up/disposition The Follow-up/Disposition template is part of a group of templates that use the last assessment or diagnosis selected on any of the templates in the group as the working assessment. The system defaults to the current working assessment. If required, you can select another assessment, which becomes the new working assessment that carries forward to the other templates in the group. Do one of the following: If not already selected, select the diagnosis in the grid and then select the follow up check box along with other details and the suggested time for the follow-up visit. Click Add/Edit Assessment to enter a new diagnosis or modify an existing assessment for the current patient. With the correct description selected in the grid, in the Follow-up section, select follow up along with any other details and the suggested time for the follow-up visit. Shared Working Assessment

The group of templates that share the selected assessment for the patient. You can initially select or change the working assessment in any of the templates that share the working assessment. If a single assessment exists, the application selects it as the working assessment. If you remove one of multiple assessments on a template, you must select a new working assessment. On some templates, the working assessment appears in the Selected Diagnosis field, Selected Dx field, or Selected Assessment field. On other templates, the working assessment appears in the Today's Assessment grid. Place Orders from the My Plan Template

You can place orders for the patient using the My Plan template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select the Care Guidelines link on any of the main template. The Care Guidelines Paged View template opens. In the Care Guidelines panel, select the Grid View link. The Care Guidelines grid view template opens. Expand the Recent Orders panel and select Add. The My Plan template opens. My Plan The My Plan template displays order items in the set appropriate for the selected assessment’s diagnosis category. To use a different template in the orders set, select the tab corresponding to the template to use (for example, Labs or Diagnostics). To add or change a diagnosis in the Today's Assessments grid, select Add or Edit. To change the current working assessment, select the diagnosis addressed for this encounter in the Today's Assessments grid. The selected diagnosis appears in the Selected Dx field. It becomes the new working assessment that carries forward to the other templates that share the

Using the Assessments Tab

The Assessments tab in the My Plan template set houses the Add or Update Assessment template. The grids on the Assessments tab can be filtered. For example, in the Billing Diagnosis History section, selecting the Show Chronic only check box displays only those diagnoses that are not acute. Selecting the option to Add Assessments on 1 click speeds up the documentation process by including the diagnosis description and code for Today's Assessment in the grid and Problems module without having to click Add/Update. The Medications or Immunizations links can be used at any time during the encounter to access the associated module. CAUTION: Removing an item from the Today's Assessment grid does not resolve the diagnosis. The Add or Update Assessments template is part of a group of templates that use the last assessment or diagnosis selected on any of the templates as the working assessment. If you remove one of multiple available assessments on the Add or Update Assessments template, you must select a new working assessment that carries over to the other templates that share the same working assessment.
