My Plan vs. My Custom Plan to Create a Treatment Plan

If configured, the My Plan tab houses an enriched plan template called My Custom Plan, which can be used to document a treatment plan that is personalized to suit your practice's specific needs. The custom plan functionality is configured as a grid for order sets, replacing the need to manually select a check box for each order to be placed. The individualized fields available on the original My Plan require manual selection of every order needed for a particular diagnosis. The purpose for the My Custom Plan template is to reduce the number of clicks required for ordering while maintaining the process for managing order sets and provider plans. The My Custom Plan template still takes a personalized approach to diagnosis-based order sets. The custom plan template simply uses a more streamlined user interface. Enter and View Diagnoses on My Custom Plan

Orders can only be created after an assessment is designated for the encounter. On the My Custom Plan template, My Plan panel, do one of the following actions: Next to Diagnosis Selection, select the desired search option (Today's Assessments or Clinical Problems) to highlight the assessment in the grid. Click the Dx Search link to open the diagnosis search window. Search for and highlight the correct diagnosis. Click Select to return to My Custom Plan. Click Add/Edit Assessment or Add/Edit Problems below the grid (depending on the search option selected) to add as many assessments and/or clinical problems as is required. Click Save & Close to return to My Custom Plan. Note: There are five diagnoses or four clinical problems immediately visible in the grid with the option to scroll down to view all of the entered data. Move Existing Order Sets to the My Custom Plan Setup Template

The NgUtility Migrate Order Sets system template is available to make the transition from Assessment Plan Customization to the Order Set Configuration panel on the My Custom Plan Setup template, which is a centralized location for setting up order sets. The transition is only required to be applied once. The migration includes the list values for the various plan types and procedures associated with the patient prep instructions to display on the My Custom Plan template. From the File menu, select System\ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. Under Show, select All. Double-click NgUtility Migrate Order Sets. The NgUtility Migrate Order Sets system template displays with a grid of Existing Orders Sets. Create a Practice-Specific List of Vendors

The following workflows result from the configuration of a practice preference for a performing entity: When no performing entity is selected as the default, the full list of vendors appears in the picklist on My Custom Plan, including To Be Determined, which defaults automatically in the Preferred Performing Entity field. You can manually change the selection on the My Custom Plan template. When more than one vendor is in the selected performing entity list for labs or diagnostics, the picklist on My Custom Plan only lists the selected performing entities. The Vendorfield defaults to the preferred vendor. A list of vendors can be configured in the Practices Master File to use when processing orders from the My Custom Plan template. Log into the File Maintenance application. Under Master Files > System, click EHR. Under EHR Master Files - System, click Practices. The Practices List window opens. Bypass the Orders Module for Lab and Radiology Orders

You can set up the Bypass Order Module Processing option to insert lab and diagnostic orders directly into the Orders module based on the selected vendor for orders placed from the following templates in the My Plan template set: My Custom Plan Lab Master OBGYN Lab Master- Labs tab for an Obstetrics or Gynecology specialty encounter Diagnostics From the File menu, select System/Practice Template.
