Organizing Your Internal Structure

The Directory is structured with enterprises, practices, groups, and users in the following way:

When you start a NextGen® Enterprise application, you are provided with one default enterprise, practice, group, and user. Adding additional enterprises and practices to the directory allows you to manage multiple practices and provide more secure access to patient data. Each user must be assigned to a group, which in turn must be assigned to a practice, and each practice is assigned to an enterprise.
