Advanced Audit Setup	NextGen® Enterprise PM & NextGen® Enterprise EHR	Enables users to access Advanced Audit Setup from the NextGen® Enterprise and NextGen® Enterprise PM applications.
Association Maintenance	NextGen® Enterprise PM & NextGen® Enterprise EHR	Enables users to create and modify associations in the System Administrator application.
Change Password	NextGen® Enterprise PM	Enables users to change their passwords.
Copy User Preferences	NextGen® Enterprise PM	Enables users to copy user preferences, work flow module preferences and PAQ custom rules from one user to another user or user group profile.
Edit NextGen® Enterprise EHR Component Profiles	NextGen® Enterprise EHR	Enables users to edit the Graphical Exam Tool (GET) profile. If access rights are set to Yes, the Settings option on the GET tool is enabled; if access rights are set to No, the option is disabled.
External Application Setup	NextGen® Enterprise EHR	Enables administrators to grant users rights for External Application Setup. When set to Yes, the External Application Setup option is available from the System Administrator > View menu. Rights are set to No by default.
Reinstate Inactive User	NextGen® Enterprise PM	Allows users to reinstate other users that have been deactivated. Note: A user can also be Reactivated. System Administrator	NextGen® Enterprise PM & NextGen® Enterprise EHR	When the right is set to Yes, only the practices in which the user group's permission is set to Yes display. Any practices in which the right is set to No do not display. If the right is set to No for all practices, then the user cannot access the System Administrator. Note: Regardless of this setting, the NextGen Admin user always has access to all practices for all groups to which he or she belongs.
User Password Expiration Date Change	NextGen® Enterprise PM	Enables users to modify the Enterprise-level Password Expiration Dates for other users.
Workflow Administrator	NextGen® Enterprise EHR	Enables users to access the File menu > Workflow Manager > Administrator menu item to modify the current provider's delegates. If this right is set to No, then users cannot access the Administrator menu item.

Tasks Operation

All of the options in the Admin menu require specific user rights and permissions and are available only to users in a System Administrator role. Workflow Operation

The Workflow Operations subgroup in the System Administrator application enables features of the Workflow module. Subgroup Used in Description Allow NextGen® Enterprise PM Task Generation from NextGen® Enterprise EHR NextGen® Enterprise EHR Enables users to create NextGen® Enterprise PM tasks from within NextGen® Enterprise EHR (tasking in Workflow). When the right is set to Yes, the New Task window displays additional fields: Task Class (either NextGen® Enterprise EHR or NextGen® Enterprise PM), Source Type (from the Task Types master file), and Task Type (from the Task Types master file). Opening External Applications

NextGen Healthcare has a number of vendors that have integrated their applications with the NextGen® Enterprise platform. The vendor applications use NextGen® Enterprise API solutions to interact with your electronic health records data. Many of these applications are listed on NextGen API Marketplace, which includes application information and links to the respective vendor websites. Some of these vendor applications are designed to be easily opened from NextGen® Enterprise EHR or NextGen® Enterprise PM. These external applications run code from other vendors. In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, you can use the following features to open external applications: The External Applications button on the patient information card. Rights and Permissions

After you add a group to a practice, you must determine the access rights for the group to enable the users to access the NextGen® Enterprise application applicable to their roles. Rights and permissions can be given only at the group level. All users added to a group automatically inherit all the rights and permissions of the group. A user inherits the rights and permissions of all the groups to which they are added. The MODULES permission group provides the list of programs that perform a task. The MODULES permission group enables you to set specific rights for each module and in some cases components of the module. You can choose the following when setting up permissions in the MODULES group. View Add Update Delete Print The OPERATIONS permission group lists the actions or tasks that are carried out within a module by the user. The OPERATIONS permission group enables you to grant or deny rights related to some of the functions of the system by selecting the Yes or No check boxes. MO

Setup Access Rights for Group Scheduling

To work with patient groups, group appointments, and group encounters in NextGen® Enterprise PM and NextGen® Enterprise EHR, users must have security access rights in System Administrator. Access System Administrator. The NextGen System Administrator window opens. On the left, select to expand an enterprise and then a practice. Select a user group within the practice. Select the Rights tab. To enable users to add or modify Patient Groups in NextGen® Enterprise PM and NextGen® Enterprise EHR, do the following: Select to expand Operations, and then select Patient Group.
