Single Visit Subjective Panel

Use the Subjective panel on the NTS Single Visit template to document the patient’s history. The Subjective panel also gives you access to additional templates to document the patient’s limitations, work demands, and specialty subjective information. In the Job Title, Work Status, and Last Worked fields, you can document the patient’s workplace and work status information. Note: These fields share the same values from the Job Title, Work Status, and Last Worked fields on the NTS Homepage template. The Ordering Diagnosis grid pulls data entered on the NTS Homepage template. To update Ordering Diagnosis information, open the NTS Homepage template. The Surgery and Past Medical History grids display any history that was captured in a NextGen Healthcare application for the patient. You can edit past medical history and add family and social history. Documenting Exams

The Exams section on the Single Visit template has a grid that shows all exams recorded for the patient, and a list of exams that you can use to document exams performed in the current encounter. You can fill out as many different exams as needed for the patient on a single encounter. All data entered on any exam is displayed in the grid. Document Caregiver Education for Physical or Occupational Therapy

You can document the physical and occupational therapy training the patient's caregiver receives in the patient's absence. The patient or representative must have given consent for this training. The caregiver training information appears on the Office Visit document. Open a patient record, and then in Encounter History, expand a case and select an encounter. Open the NTS Homepage template associated with the encounter, and then select a PT or OT visit type. Open the NTS Single Visit template, and then expand the Objective panel. Under Treatment, select Education. The Education template opens in the NTS PT Treatment Edu window. Select Patient consented to caregiver training. Select the appropriate checkbox that describes whether the caregiver training is for an individual or a group. For individual caregiver training, enter the total minutes of training time in Min, and then enter any therapist assistant-led training time in Asst. Document Patient Education for Physical or Occupational Therapy

Open a patient record, and then in Encounter History, expand a case and select an encounter. Open the NTS Homepage template associated with the encounter, and then select a PT or OT visit type. Open the NTS Single Visit template, and then expand the Objective panel. Under Treatment, select Education. The Education template opens in the NTS PT Treatment Edu window. For patient education, enter a description under Education of the education provided by doing one of the following: Select Body Mechanics, Gait, or ADL as the education type, and then select a description in each field. Note: If you select the blank space at the top of the list, you can type an entry into the field. To enter custom descriptions that is not related to an education type, make sure that none of the Body Mechanics, Gait, or ADL options are selected, and then enter your descriptions in the fields.
