Document Patient Education for Physical or Occupational Therapy
Open a patient record, and then in Encounter History, expand a case and select an encounter.
Open the NTS Homepage template associated with the encounter, and then select a PT or OT visit type.
Open the NTS Single Visit template, and then expand the Objective panel.
Under Treatment, select Education.
The Education template opens in the NTS PT Treatment Edu window.
For patient education, enter a description under Education of the education provided by doing one of the following:
Select Body Mechanics, Gait, or ADL as the education type, and then select a description in each field.
Note: If you select the blank space at the top of the list, you can type an entry into the field.
To enter custom descriptions that is not related to an education type, make sure that none of the Body Mechanics, Gait, or ADL options are selected, and then enter your descriptions in the fields.
Optional: To clear the description from a field, select X next to the field.
In Patient and/or Caregiver Education, type additional information related to the patient education.
This information appears on the Plan of Care and Office Visit document.
Select Save & Close.
The Education row is added to the Treatment grid in the Objective panel.
