View Injury History within a Case

If any of the patient's past chief complaints and injury details in the case were documented in NextGen® Therapy Suite versions 3.0.11.0 and earlier, you can view them, but you cannot add, edit, or delete them. Open a patient record, and then in Encounter History, expand a case and select an encounter. Open the NTS Single Visit template. In the Subjective panel, select the Historical Injury Grid link. The Injury Subjective View grid displays the patient's case history of chief complaints and associated injuries. Parent topic: Single Visit Subjective Panel

View Subjective Comments from a Patient’s Initial Evaluation Visit

If you are tracking a patient's progress, you can review the subjective findings from the patient's initial physical or occupational therapy evaluation. Open a patient record, and then in Encounter History, expand a case and select an encounter. Open the NTS Single Visit template. In the Subjective panel, select the Initial Eval Subjective link. The Initial Eval Subjective window opens with the date and subjective comments from the patient’s initial evaluation. Parent topic: Single Visit Subjective Panel

Copy Subjective Comments from a Screening to a PT/OT Single Visit

Before you begin Record subjective comments for a patient in the NTS Screening template. You can copy subjective comments from a patient screening to the subjective comments in the NTS Single Visit template. The text is appended to existing text in the field. Open a patient record, and then in Encounter History, expand a case and select an encounter. Open the NTS Single Visit template. In the Subjective panel, select Get Screening to make the encounter, onset dates, and dates of injury available in the Past Screening Encounter Dates window. Select an encounter date from the list, and then select OK. The subjective comment from the encounter date is copied to the Subjective panel. Parent topic: Single Visit Subjective Panel

Single Visit Subjective Panel

Use the Subjective panel on the NTS Single Visit template to document the patient’s history. The Subjective panel also gives you access to additional templates to document the patient’s limitations, work demands, and specialty subjective information. In the Job Title, Work Status, and Last Worked fields, you can document the patient’s workplace and work status information. Note: These fields share the same values from the Job Title, Work Status, and Last Worked fields on the NTS Homepage template. The Ordering Diagnosis grid pulls data entered on the NTS Homepage template. To update Ordering Diagnosis information, open the NTS Homepage template. The Surgery and Past Medical History grids display any history that was captured in a NextGen Healthcare application for the patient. You can edit past medical history and add family and social history. Document Patient Education for Physical or Occupational Therapy

Open a patient record, and then in Encounter History, expand a case and select an encounter. Open the NTS Homepage template associated with the encounter, and then select a PT or OT visit type. Open the NTS Single Visit template, and then expand the Objective panel. Under Treatment, select Education. The Education template opens in the NTS PT Treatment Edu window. For patient education, enter a description under Education of the education provided by doing one of the following: Select Body Mechanics, Gait, or ADL as the education type, and then select a description in each field. Note: If you select the blank space at the top of the list, you can type an entry into the field. To enter custom descriptions that is not related to an education type, make sure that none of the Body Mechanics, Gait, or ADL options are selected, and then enter your descriptions in the fields. Document and Review Patient Pain for a Speech Therapy Visit

You can document the patient's pain levels for the current day, when they are at rest, and when they are active. You can also review the pain history within the case. Reviewing the history helps you to easily assess the patient's pain levels over time. In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, open a patient encounter, and then open the NTS Speech Single Visit template. Expand the Subjective panel, and then under Past History, select Function to open the Function template. Enter the pain levels in Today, At Rest, and During Activity. Optional: To review the patient's pain levels over time within the case, select the Pain link. The Pain History template opens with the pain details of all the encounters related to the case.
