Treatment Section

The treatment grid shows therapies and education that you have documented for the patient. You can document therapies completed with the patient using any of the treatment templates in the left-hand list. The therapies documented on the templates are billable, with the exception of the Education template, which always shows a billable Total Time entry of zero. Document Patient Education for Physical or Occupational Therapy

Open a patient record, and then in Encounter History, expand a case and select an encounter. Open the NTS Homepage template associated with the encounter, and then select a PT or OT visit type. Open the NTS Single Visit template, and then expand the Objective panel. Under Treatment, select Education. The Education template opens in the NTS PT Treatment Edu window. For patient education, enter a description under Education of the education provided by doing one of the following: Select Body Mechanics, Gait, or ADL as the education type, and then select a description in each field. Note: If you select the blank space at the top of the list, you can type an entry into the field. To enter custom descriptions that is not related to an education type, make sure that none of the Body Mechanics, Gait, or ADL options are selected, and then enter your descriptions in the fields. Document Caregiver Education for Physical or Occupational Therapy

You can document the physical and occupational therapy training the patient's caregiver receives in the patient's absence. The patient or representative must have given consent for this training. The caregiver training information appears on the Office Visit document. Open a patient record, and then in Encounter History, expand a case and select an encounter. Open the NTS Homepage template associated with the encounter, and then select a PT or OT visit type. Open the NTS Single Visit template, and then expand the Objective panel. Under Treatment, select Education. The Education template opens in the NTS PT Treatment Edu window. Select Patient consented to caregiver training. Select the appropriate checkbox that describes whether the caregiver training is for an individual or a group. For individual caregiver training, enter the total minutes of training time in Min, and then enter any therapist assistant-led training time in Asst. Exams

You can document on as many exams as necessary. To add exam information to the patient’s visit, select one of the exams from the left-hand list or select Additional to see, and then select other exams. Once you have added all necessary information on an Exam template, select Save & Close to close the template and save the information into the Exams grid on Single Visit. Exams grid Note: The left-hand list is configurable so you can remove exams that you will not use (for example, you may not see any Pediatric patients and, therefore, want to hide all Pediatric exams) or configure certain exams to show for specific therapists. The left navigation can be configured in the Navigation Config practice template. You can also compare multiple exams with the multi view option and view, edit, and review existing exams. Use Get Data to Fill in Exam Templates

Get Data copies template entries from a previous encounter with the patient into the current encounter template. Data entry becomes more efficient because you can update entries as needed instead of entering data in every field. You can use Get Data to enter information for exams and in other templates where the button is available. Note: Get Data is not available for the Wound exam. Select Get Data. Get Data button next to QuickPick toolbar The Encounter picklist opens. Select the encounter you want to copy data from, and then select OK. The fields fill in according to the selections saved from the previous encounter. Update any fields where the patient information needs to be changed. Select Save & Close.
