Access Exams

To open an exam template, select the template name in the left-hand Exams list. Note: The Exams list is configurable. If you do not see the exam you are looking for in the left-hand list, select Additional to open a list of additional exam templates. Launch Template window displaying additional exams Note: You can use the Miscellaneous Assessments template to record results of assessments that do not already have specific fields on other exam templates. Edit Exams

You can only edit an exam on the encounter where it was created. Select the exam from the grid. Select Edit. The template window opens for the exam you selected to edit. Make all desired changes. Select Save & Close. Parent topic: Documenting Exams

Enter Multi-Test Comparisons

In exams where you can document ROM and Strength, you can also document multiple measurements for the same motion pertaining to before, during, and after treatment. The ability to multi-test is configured in the Practice Configuration practice template and can be turned off if it is not needed. If Multi-Test is turned on, Pre-Treatment, During-Treatment, and Post-Treatment options appear on the exam template. Pre-Treatment is selected by default. Note: Once anyone in the practice enters During-Treatment or Post-Treatment measurements, Multi-Test cannot be turned off. Use Get Data to Fill in Exam Templates

Get Data copies template entries from a previous encounter with the patient into the current encounter template. Data entry becomes more efficient because you can update entries as needed instead of entering data in every field. You can use Get Data to enter information for exams and in other templates where the button is available. Note: Get Data is not available for the Wound exam. Select Get Data. Get Data button next to QuickPick toolbar The Encounter picklist opens. Select the encounter you want to copy data from, and then select OK. The fields fill in according to the selections saved from the previous encounter. Update any fields where the patient information needs to be changed. Select Save & Close. Documenting Exams

The Exams section on the Single Visit template has a grid that shows all exams recorded for the patient, and a list of exams that you can use to document exams performed in the current encounter. You can fill out as many different exams as needed for the patient on a single encounter. All data entered on any exam is displayed in the grid. Exams

To open an exam, click on its name in the left side navigation pane. Each exam (body area) has its own template. Exams that are most pertinent to the current workflow are shown at the top of the list. You can scroll down to see additional links. Data entered on exam templates is shown in the large grid below the Vitals information on the Physical Exam panel. Each exam template has side navigation to open related templates. For example, shown directly below is the template page that opens when you click the Fracture link. Note that links to other fracture templates are at the top of the left navigation bar. Exam template All exam templates have the QuickPick option to fill in information, as well as the Get Data functionality to pull data forward from previous encounters with the patient.
