Treatment Section

The treatment grid shows therapies and education that you have documented for the patient. You can document therapies completed with the patient using any of the treatment templates in the left-hand list. The therapies documented on the templates are billable, with the exception of the Education template, which always shows a billable Total Time entry of zero. Testing/Other Template

Use the Testing/Other template to document Video Gait Analysis, Video Throwing Analysis, Testing/Other Treatments, and Wound Care. Testing/Other Treatment template When you complete entries, and then select Save & Close, the selected treatments from this template appear in the Treatment grid on the Single Visit template, broken out by type with the total time for each. Objective Comments

Use the Comments (Objective) field to record things such as observations, additional information, instructions, and plans. You can type text into the field or add saved phrases from a “My Phrases” set. For more information, see Add Comments. The Review Comments link above the field opens a window where you can review comments entered in all sections of the patient’s chart. You can also review and copy comments that were captured on previous encounters with that patient. For more information, see Review, Modify, and Copy Comments. Documenting Exams

The Exams section on the Single Visit template has a grid that shows all exams recorded for the patient, and a list of exams that you can use to document exams performed in the current encounter. You can fill out as many different exams as needed for the patient on a single encounter. All data entered on any exam is displayed in the grid. Vital Signs

Document Patient Education for Physical or Occupational Therapy

Open a patient record, and then in Encounter History, expand a case and select an encounter. Open the NTS Homepage template associated with the encounter, and then select a PT or OT visit type. Open the NTS Single Visit template, and then expand the Objective panel. Under Treatment, select Education. The Education template opens in the NTS PT Treatment Edu window. For patient education, enter a description under Education of the education provided by doing one of the following: Select Body Mechanics, Gait, or ADL as the education type, and then select a description in each field. Note: If you select the blank space at the top of the list, you can type an entry into the field. To enter custom descriptions that is not related to an education type, make sure that none of the Body Mechanics, Gait, or ADL options are selected, and then enter your descriptions in the fields.
