Quick Buttons Label Description Lab Results Opens the Review Patient Results window displaying the patient's completed laboratory tests' results. The Go to Order button on the Review Patient Results window opens the Orders module displaying the order details associated with a result. NextGen® Enterprise EHR layout comprises menus and toolbars such as Title bar, Main menu, Top toolbar, and Status bar. You can set the user preferences and work with patient encounters and categories. You can also view the calendars and icons, and access the Alerts module, if the Patient Information Card (PIC) is enabled. The PIC in NextGen® Enterprise EHR provides the following information. Patient general information Patient demographics information Patient medical summary information Encounter-based information NextGen® Enterprise comes with an integrated spelling checker that automatically detects and corrects spelling errors as you type alphanumeric characters in certain text fields. You can use the spelling checker only on editable fields. Patient Appointments

In NextGen® Enterprise EHR Appointments Quick Button, you can view five future and 10 past appointments for a selected patient by default. You can view up to 15 future and 15 past appointments based on configuration. The Appointments table provides information on the following: Appointment date and time Status (Kept, Chart Complete, No Show) Provider/Resource name Provider's location Reason for appointment The count appearing on the Appointments button indicates the total number of future appointments scheduled for a patient in the enterprise regardless of configurations. The icon indicates that the patient does not have any scheduled future appointments. If the scheduling source is View by Provider, the count indicates only the appointments created in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. If the scheduling source is View by Resource, the count indicates only the appointments created in NextGen® Enterprise PM. Note: The appointments' count is not available for external practice management systems.

Manage Practice-Level Configurations of Quick Buttons

You can customize the Quick Buttons panel at the practice level with System Administrator rights in File Maintainance. You can show or hide buttons that appear on the Quick Buttons panel and also re-arrange their sequence. You can also grant user-level permission to hide a button on the Quick Buttons panel. Open File Maintenance. Under Master Files, select EHR, and then select Application Appearance. The EHR Application Appearance window opens displaying the preview of the Patient Information Card (PIC), Quick Buttons, Encounter History, and Categories for the Default configuration. Select the required configuration, and then select Edit. The Edit EHR Application Appearance Configuration window opens. Select the Quick Button tab. To add a button to the Quick Buttons panel, select Add Buttons, select the buttons to add from the list, and then select Save. To remove a button on the Quick Buttons panel, do one of the following: Select on the button to remove, and then select Save. Select

Manage User-Level Configurations of Quick Buttons

Before you begin Ensure that you have the necessary user-level permissions to view and modify buttons on the Quick Buttons panel. You can show or hide buttons on the Quick Buttons panel and also re-arrange their sequence to your preference. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookup window. On the Quick Buttons panel, select .The My Quick Button Settings window opens. To add a button to the Quick Buttons panel, select Select Buttons, select the button to add from the list, and then select Apply. To remove a button on the Quick Buttons panel, do one of the following: Select corresponding to the button to remove, and then select Apply. Select Select Buttons, clear the check box for the button to remove, and then select Apply. To change the order of the buttons, select and drag the buttons to the preferred location, and select Apply. To restore the practice preference settings, select Reset to Practice Settings.
