Patient Appointments

In NextGen® Enterprise EHR Appointments Quick Button, you can view five future and 10 past appointments for a selected patient by default. You can view up to 15 future and 15 past appointments based on configuration. The Appointments table provides information on the following: Appointment date and time Status (Kept, Chart Complete, No Show) Provider/Resource name Provider's location Reason for appointment The count appearing on the Appointments button indicates the total number of future appointments scheduled for a patient in the enterprise regardless of configurations. The icon indicates that the patient does not have any scheduled future appointments. If the scheduling source is View by Provider, the count indicates only the appointments created in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. If the scheduling source is View by Resource, the count indicates only the appointments created in NextGen® Enterprise PM. Note: The appointments' count is not available for external practice management systems.

View Care Guidelines

You can view a quick list of the patient's Care Guidelines for due and overdue items. Additionally, you can open the Care Guidelines module to manage Health Maintenance and Disease Management functions, including guideline testing and screening, and recommended care. For more information on Care Guidelines, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the Care Guidelines User Guide for NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookup window. To view a quick list of the patient's Care Guidelines, on the Quick Buttons panel, hover over Care Guidelines Items Due.The Care Guidelines Items Due table appears displaying the last calculated date and a list of recently ordered Care Guidelines items for the patient that are due and overdue. Quick Buttons in NextGen® Enterprise EHR

Quick Buttons Label Description Lab Results Opens the Review Patient Results window displaying the patient's completed laboratory tests' results. The Go to Order button on the Review Patient Results window opens the Orders module displaying the order details associated with a result. Medications Displays a quick list of the patient's active medications when hovered over. Opens the Medications module when selected. View Order History

Before you begin You must ensure that you have the View access right enabled in MODULES > Medical Records > Orders in System Administrator. For more information on user access rights, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest System Administrator Guide forNextGen®Enterprise. You can view a quick list of the patient's most recent orders, sorted by newest to oldest, and also open the Order Summary tab in the Orders Module for a detailed view of the patient's orders history. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookup window. To view a quick list of the patient's most recent orders, on the Quick Buttons panel, hover over Orders.The Orders table appears displaying the status, ordered date, order item description, and time frame or encounter date, or administration date, depending on the type of the order. View the Patient's Problems List

Before you begin You must ensure that you have the View access right enabled in MODULES > Medical Records > Problem List in System Administrator. For more information on user access rights, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest System Administrator Guide forNextGen®Enterprise. You can view a quick list of the patient's active medical problems and also open the Problem List tab in the Problems module to add or update the patient's medical problems. A total count of the patient's active problems appears on the Problems button on the Quick Buttons panel. Note: The icon indicates that the patient account does not have any active problem records and the No Active Problems check box in Problem List tab of the Problems Module is not selected. Quick Buttons for Patient Medical Summary Information

The Quick Buttons panel on the NextGen® Enterprise EHR main window provides you quick access to the patient's medical summary information, including automatic counts and visual indicators for various key clinical elements, and also the option to open several different clinical modules. The availability of the Quick Buttons depends on the practice-level configurations in File Maintenance. You can customize the order of Quick Buttons to suit workflow. Also, the practice can set Quick Buttons to be hidden by users if desired.
