View Patient Vital Signs

You can view a quick record of the patient's vital signs in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookup window. To view a quick list of the patient's recorded vital signs, on the Quick Buttons panel, hover over Vital Signs. If no vital signs are recorded for the patient, a message appears stating that no vital signs records are found. The Vital Signs table appears based on patient's current age displaying the most recent sets of vital signs that are recorded for the patient in reverse chronological order. Note: Abnormal values are denoted by red-colored text and the indicator. To open the Vital Sign History window, which displays separate grids for the patient's vital signs and orthostatic vital signs, on the Quick Buttons panel, select Vital Signs. Patient Vital Record

You can view a quick list of a patient's vital signs records NextGen® Enterprise EHR. For adult patients (age 18 and older), the vitals record includes Date, Height, Weight, Temp, BMI, Pulse OX, Respiration, Pulse, and BP. For infant patients (age 0 to age 2), the vitals record includes Date, Lenght/Percentile, Weight/Percentile, Temp, Head Circ./Percentile, Pulse OX, Respiration, Pulse, and BP. For pediatric patients (age 2 to age 17), the vitals record includes Date, Height/Percentile, Weight/Percentile, Temp, BMI, Pulse OX, Respiration, Pulse, and BP. Document the Pediatric Patient's Historical Vital Signs

You can document the historical vital signs of a pediatric patient. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a patient's record, and then open an encounter. On Top Toolbar, select Templates . The Select Template window opens. Open the Intake template. Document the patient's recorded historical vital signs. In Weight measurement, document the patient's weight in the lb and kg fields within the 4.409 – 1543.3 lb or 2.00 – 699.99 kg range. Note: A message appears if the value entered is not within the range. In Blood Pressure and pulse, document the patient's Systolic and Diastolic readings within the 0 – 399 range, and then document the patient's pulse rate within the 10 – 499 range. Note: A message appears if the value entered is not within the range. Click Measured date, and then select the corresponding historical date. Document Historical Vital Signs

You can document the historical vital signs for a patient. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a patient's record, and then open an encounter. On Top Toolbar, select Templates . Vital Signs

You can add, edit or remove vital signs for a patient using the Vital Signs panel. In the Vital Signs panel you can view vital signs documented during this encounter. You can edit ot remove previously entered vital signs and enter new vital signs. The Vital Signs panel is also available on other office visit templates. The Historical information entered this encounter link opens the Vital Signs History template filtered to display only vital signs documented with patient's encounter. Using the History link, you can review the patient’s entire vital signs history on the Vital Signs History template. Using the Graphs link, you can view vital signs in graphical format on the age-appropriate VS Charts template. Vital Signs The vital signs templates are based on age.
