View the Patient's Problems List

Before you begin You must ensure that you have the View access right enabled in MODULES > Medical Records > Problem List in System Administrator. For more information on user access rights, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest System Administrator Guide forNextGen®Enterprise. You can view a quick list of the patient's active medical problems and also open the Problem List tab in the Problems module to add or update the patient's medical problems. A total count of the patient's active problems appears on the Problems button on the Quick Buttons panel. Note: The icon indicates that the patient account does not have any active problem records and the No Active Problems check box in Problem List tab of the Problems Module is not selected. View Care Guidelines

You can view a quick list of the patient's Care Guidelines for due and overdue items. Additionally, you can open the Care Guidelines module to manage Health Maintenance and Disease Management functions, including guideline testing and screening, and recommended care. For more information on Care Guidelines, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the Care Guidelines User Guide for NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookup window. To view a quick list of the patient's Care Guidelines, on the Quick Buttons panel, hover over Care Guidelines Items Due.The Care Guidelines Items Due table appears displaying the last calculated date and a list of recently ordered Care Guidelines items for the patient that are due and overdue. Adding a Tracked Diagnosis from the Patient's Problem List to the ICD Billing List

You can add a diagnosis from a patient's problem list to ICD billing list for that patient. A chronic or tracked condition diagnosis from the patient's problem list can be added to the ICD billing list. This causes the diagnosis to be associated with an ICD billing code, and enables it to be associated with a care guideline. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select the Care Guidelines link on any of the main template. The Care Guidelines template opens. Select Add/Update in the Care Guidelines panel. The Activate Care Guidelines template opens. Expand the Problem List panel, do the following: Select the Show chronic check box to display chronic problems only. Select the Show my tracked problems check box to display only those diagnoses that have been assigned to the patient’s tracked problems list. Open Billing ICD List

The Billing ICD List tab of the Problems module displays the details of the billing ICD codes of a patient. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from Patient Lookup window. Select an existing encounter from the Encounter History or create an encounter. To open the Problems module, select Problems on the Quick Buttons panel.The Problems module opens displaying the Problem List tab by default. To open the billing ICD list, select the Billing ICD List tab. Billing ICD List Billing ICD List The billing ICD list displays all the resolved and unresolved billing ICD entries of a patient. Add an ICD to the ICD Billing List You can add an entry to the Billing ICD List using the add ICD feature. Modify an ICD in the ICD Billing List Modify the entries in the Billing ICD List to update the information displayed in the Billing ICD List Display Area.
