Before you begin
You must ensure that you have the necessary access rights in System Administrator for the Orders Module. For more information on user access rights, go to

You can view the results of a patient's laboratory tests. Additionally, you can open the Orders Module and view the order details associated with a result. For more information on the Orders Module, go to

Orders Module User Guide forNextGen®Enterprise EHR.
- Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookup window.
- On the Quick Buttons panel, select Lab Results
.
The
Review Patient Results window opens displaying a report of all completed laboratory tests in a flow sheet format, that includes the date and time of the specimens associated with an order collected,test name, and result for the test name.
Note: The results may be grouped by the test or panel name and viewed by the lab short description, lab long description, or by NextGen® compendium description depending on the defined settings.
Note: When you hover the
Lab Results
icon the tool tip appears.
- To create and manage filters, select Manage Filters on the Review Patient Results window.
The
Set Results Filter window opens.
The default filter is All, which is reset every time you close and reopen the Set Results Filter window. When you change the filter criteria, such as the flags or collection dates, the change reflects both in the Quick Buttons panel view and the Orders Module.
