Module Buttons and Lab Results Link

The tabs on the Workflow module include a set of buttons to view information for or open the Alerts, Allergies, Problems, Diagnoses, Medications, and Appointments modules. The Lab Result link enables you to view lab or radiology test results if they are available for the patient and you have access rights to the Orders module. If there are no test results, the link label displays in black and cannot be selected. The module buttons may appear in a vertical or horizontal format based on the tab selected. The button labels are automatically abbreviated at lower screen resolutions or when you resize the main NextGen® Enterprise EHR window to less than full size. The buttons display the number of items or a question mark for unknown. Hovering over a button with a number displays the corresponding list of items. View Lab Results

Before you begin You must ensure that you have the necessary access rights in System Administrator for the Orders Module. For more information on user access rights, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest System Administrator Guide forNextGen®Enterprise. You can view the results of a patient's laboratory tests. Additionally, you can open the Orders Module and view the order details associated with a result. For more information on the Orders Module, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Orders Module User Guide forNextGen®Enterprise EHR. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookup window. Quick Buttons for Patient Medical Summary Information

The Quick Buttons panel on the NextGen® Enterprise EHR main window provides you quick access to the patient's medical summary information, including automatic counts and visual indicators for various key clinical elements, and also the option to open several different clinical modules. The availability of the Quick Buttons depends on the practice-level configurations in File Maintenance. You can customize the order of Quick Buttons to suit workflow. Also, the practice can set Quick Buttons to be hidden by users if desired.
